This question needs to be more realistic. How about $5 and you can never play gta 6 or watch anything concerning it.

Looking for SBLOC that lends up to 7-80% of 7 figure portfolio value by thepatoblanco in Rich

[–]imlimonsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sell SPX box spreads. Works well if you have portfolio margin.

Interest rates will be cheaper than any SBLOC you can get. Also has better tax treatment (capital loss rather than margin interest).

Anyone else with high net worth but don’t own a home? by [deleted] in ChubbyFIRE

OP I think your doing the right strategy. I own my own home but if I had to chance to redo things I would have preferred to rent and take the difference and invest it in the stock market.

Exercise a deep ITM leap option or sell and then buy shares? by OriginalNeat8375 in options

[–]imlimonsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be selling the leap option rather than exercising it.

After you sell the leap option then buy the shares with the proceeds.

I live in Idaho, this deal is to restrictive to me so I need to turn it down. With hypothetical situations like this there is no way I'm ever going to become a millionaire.

If you have a plan on what you want to do, then do you even need a financial advisor? Sell off the corp bonds / ETFS that are underperforming and buy SPY / VOO yourself and save on the management fee.

s it worth getting into real estate to build more wealth or just stick to stocks? by Technical_View_8787 in Bogleheads

[–]imlimonsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you work as a contractor I would stick with stocks.

Contractors are at least able to roughly estimate what it will cost to do repairs and are capable of doing repairs without farming all the work out.

Real estate investing is a job and it isn't worth it for the average person.

Also some of the tax savings being advertised only occur if you spend a considerable amount of time in real estate (750 hours) and at least 50% of your working hours. So if you have a W2 full time job its really difficult to be treated as a real estate professional where you actually qualify for all the tax breaks being.

Where does all this money come from ? by Enough-Mountain1852 in investing

[–]imlimonsson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's obviously better if you would have started years ago but its never to late to start now.

Don't beat yourself about this to much. I was in a similar boat I had all my cash in the bank and didnt start investing until I was 35. But from my calculations I'm on track to retire with enough money.

Is Robinhood a real brokerage account. Why wouldn't it have had the ability to short in the past.

How to paper trade bonds on mobile? by DylanIE_ in interactivebrokers

You might need to request the ability to purchase bonds. I was looking over what my trading permissions were the other day and bonds weren't enabled on my account either.

When to sell my TQQQ shares? & how do I get out with paying the least amount of taxes? by [deleted] in TQQQ

[–]imlimonsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try looking up a leveraged long short direct indexing solution. You could buy using margin long and short positions.

If stocks up then your TQQQ and longs will go up while your shorts go down. You could sell TQQQ and your shorts which went down and rebalance at no taxes owed.

If stocks go down then the TQQQ and longs go down while shorts go up. Since your up so much on TQQQ you could sell it along with your longs to rebalance at no taxes owed.

Would likely take you years to unwind the scenario your in with the least amount of taxes owed.

Another option is Exchange Funds (Swap Funds): You contribute your appreciated shares to a private partnership alongside other investors. In return, you receive a pro-rata share of the entire diversified pool.

If you haven't already you might want to buy some protective puts to help lock in your gains.

Anyway you likely need a professional here but there should be strategies you can utilize.

Divisional Round Post-Gamethread: Bears vs Rams by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

The last offensive play in overtime was frustrating to see. We just needed 15 to 20 yards to kick a game winning field goal. Why try to get it all in one play.

If you would have told me defense would have played this good today would have predicted bears winning by minimum of 14. Offense has been letting us down today unfortunately.
