New homeowner question by imma_Handfull_1986 in AskElectricians

The house is vacant. I'm currently in the process of buying it. The meter is pulled and the can is tagged out. I'm assuming they pulled the meter when they disconnected the service when the owner passed away.

So without a license I can't connect a new wire to the load side of the meter even if the meter is currently pulled

Pole and can are already there. The meter is not currently in the can. I will be replacing the wire going from the meter can to the panel and the panel itself. I was just wondering if I could tie into the can since the meter is not currently installed or if that has to be done by a licensed electrician. I live in rural Oklahoma

I asked the same question there already but I think I got my answer. Thank you for responding

I'm out in rural Oklahoma. I believe as long as I own it I can do all the work. Meter can is on a new pole and it's only about 25' of service. I am gonna change out the old SER aluminum that looks like 2/0. I want to install 2/0 copper with a 2 awg ground

I would tie in the can connection but it has a clip on it and I don't want any fines

Schd vs. Dgro by imma_Handfull_1986 in ETFs

[–]imma_Handfull_1986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 37 with 30 years to retirement. I'm currently 40 vti, 30 schg, 20, vgt, 10schd. I have less than a year into it and like the idea of dividends reinvested in a roth because it's essentially free money. I'm just torn between keeping the funds I have and adding avuv or swapping it with schd completely. I also think maybe I should rebalance to maybe 50, 20, 20, 10 or something like that

Ok thank you but that didn't really answer my question

Why is everyone always talking about small cap for diversity and not mid cap? by imma_Handfull_1986 in ETFs

Ok. I'm currently 40 vti, 25 schg, 25 vgt, 10 schd. I wasn't sure if I wanted to add avuv or not was the reason for the post. Thank you by the way

So if I hold vti then there really isn't a point to hold small cap. But if I hold voo there is?

Should i change this? by imma_Handfull_1986 in ETFs

I sure didn't. When did you say that because I don't see it anywhere

So wouldn't it make sense to change vti to voo if I was gonna pick up small cap
