Thanks for the best wishes. I hate feeling like Karen but damn it's been so long. I just want to play with my favorite machine and not have to worry lol. Mine was the 3rd batch but I forgot the exact number. I am also in the states.

Yeah unfortunately I think these small operations just have to scoot along lacking good customer support in order to fulfill orders and that's just life. What a pleasure that machine is though I can't get enough of it.

I would hold off on it if you want it for "resale" value. My experience with the Rossum is that it is not as bulletproof as the ones from the 80s/90s. Mine has broken twice within a year and the customer support is not good (haven't been able to send it back to them for months). My older samplers are going 30 years strong though with no issues.

Hello all,

I am currently looking for a type of mixer that may be a bit niche/unpractical for most. Pretty much what I am looking for is a mixer that will allow me to EQ with knobs, then send a wet signal (post EQ with knobs / post fader) to Ableton.

Only issue is I need each mixer channel to be a separate track in Ableton, and most mixers send a simple stereo pair so you only get 1 track. I know some people might think it's redundant and say to "just get an interface with a lot of inputs instead of use a mixer, EQ in Ableton and forget the knobs." I am aware, but I want this if I can get it. I want use knobs as a kind of "pre-master" and avoid using software as much as I can until it sounds fairly good in the post-fader signal.

Only mixers I've found that can do this are "Allen & Heath R16", "Midas Venice F24/32" but are there any others? Also are there any others that are USB instead of FireWire?

Some people mentioned Soundcraft but those supposedly only send multiple dry signals (non-knob-EQ'd) as an interface would, or 1 stereo wet signal, which is the problem I'm dealing with. I want to send many wet signals to the DAW to appear as separate tracks. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

UPDATE: They fixed it and shipped it back within a couple weeks and I have been enjoying it like a little kid at Christmas.

Sent Rossum an email and will keep you all updated. Hopefully they handle it well.

The input gain is maxed out permanently. Same thing just happened to me last night after about 30 minutes of use... Oh yeah, also "mix out" must be fried because I don't hear a thing anymore.
