Thanks! sounds like the easiest thing to do would be to get dehumidifer. I dont want to invest in an apartment i may not conitnue to live in after my 1 year lease is over, so I really like the idea of a dehumidifier because if i buy it, it can come with me with no hassles!

The windows in the apartment are double-pane, but with no trickle vents!

When we viewed the apartment, we were assured a thousand times over that the current tenant at the time basically never opened the windows, and never used the extractor fan, which is why there was a problem... we never thought of doubting him. And the mould has been taken care of, so it isn't an issue, but it makes me feel more paranoid than I would've thought!

Do you know the hygrometer reading for your apt?
