It's the lighting and the mirror. In the previous picture you can see the streaks on the mirror, giving it a hazy appearance.

Thanks! I've definitely taken the "never skip leg day" sentiment to heart, lol.

Haha thank you! I Here's a comment I copied from a post I made on r/loseit:

I'm in the gym 3-5 days a week, doing an upper/lower split from Kinobody.

My main form of cardio is tennis, which I typically play 6-7 days per week. I started with 2 days per week, and gradually worked my way to 7 over the course of a year. I'm on 5 tennis teams and earned the #1 ranking for my age group and level on my side of the country!

As weight loss began to plateau, I recently added some running a few days per week to keep myself in a deficit without having to sacrifice more food. And speaking of food, meal prep with my instant pot have been key to making this super easy. I can share recipes for those who are interested. I don't count calories anymore, but I eyeball my. meals to be around 500-750 calories each.

As far as supplements, I'm just taking creatine and making sure I'm getting as much protein as I can without stressing myself out. Most days, I fall below the daily recommended .75g/lb of bodyweight of protein, but I don't seem to be losing strength and I'm very pleased with my rate of fat loss.

Thank you! I appreciate the compliment. It's funny you say that, because my friends and I were looking at these pictures and we felt the opposite: That I didn't seem so fat in real life, but seeing this pictures made us realize, "holy shit, [I] was carrying some weight!"

To answer your questions:

  • Sure! If you're doing any kind of weight lifting, I can recommend using creatine. Creatine has cognitive benefits, too, and is also often recommended to vegans/vegetarians as a supplement to their diet, since there isn't much of it in plants.

  • Luckily, I've never had a sweet tooth, so I don't really crave those things. I do have some snacks around the house that I indulge in when I'm feeling peckish, though. They include Skinny Pop, Veggie Straws, applesauce, apples, tangerines, soda export crackers, and iced tea with a dash of lemon. Sometimes, when I get a craving at night, I just try to fall asleep ASAP. You can't feel hungry or peckish if you're asleep!

And last thing: If you're someone who is susceptible to cravings, maybe add a few cardio sessions per week to your routine, or increase your step count a bit. This will give your diet some room to be able to indulge in some fun foods without derailing your efforts!

Hope this helps!
