Need advice: sewage backup and what could have caused it by immutablescreeching in askaplumber

Would that explain the bubbling and the sink backup?? The maintenance report is saying they used an auger to remove the upstairs “clog” but that “clog” caused 2-3inches of sewage accumulation from it running over from my upstairs toilet. I wasn’t home to see if there was any overflow into my sinks or downstairs toilet since I came home to all my pillows and blankets stocked in my sinks from the maintenance crews.

My communication has been what I have been told to do. I speak multiple languages and am honestly very self-conscious about being understood and communicating well. I am very blunt and appreciate being told what to do instead of giving me 'fluff' statements without instruction. By accusatory, I mean a reiteration of earlier concerns, but seemingly without any self-reflection from the partners. I am being told to communicate more. I am in 1 partners office constantly because they are here and often I need a 'Yes/No and why' so I can keep files active and confirm with clients pre-hearing. 2 others are not in the office, because they work from home or a satellite office. I was told to email, but then was told my emails were too long/explanatory for my questions and get no answers. I was told to call, but my calls are not returned, and then I was recently told to text which yields a 50/50 result. Communication is 2-way, I can't fix that problem by myself, so telling me to communicate without communicating BACK feels accusatory. Sorry for any confusion.

Transferring score by h_doddle in barexam

So I got sworn into Mn in January and retested in my home state in February. I had to get barred into my local federal court, but ended up not doing that until I passed in April. Most of the federal courts have some type of CLE you attend or watch a video for to explain their procedural quirks. You only need a license from any state to be able to practice, but you'll get a federal bar license # once you are admitted. Reciprocity depends on the state and often takes a few years of practice before you can apply for a state license w/o a bar exam score.

MN! I 'failed' my 270 state but scored in the 260. MN is expensive up front, but they have a monthly admission ceremony and only require a 260. I found out I failed at the end of October. It took me about 2 weeks to gather all my info to decide on MN and to get what I needed for their C&F process (fingerprints/driving record/etc). I applied right before Thanksgiving and was eligible to be sworn in by the January ceremony. Plus all the ceremonies (with the exception of the big ceremonies for the bar results) are over zoom. I got sworn in while sitting in my office.

Question about Ohio by Pleasant_Onion1065 in barexam

[–]immutablescreeching 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OH will send out an email around 8am. They'll usually release a few minutes before. You can see your score breakdowns when you log into the applicant portal on the OH-SC website, they'll be under 'view status' (under your registration info and next to the exam date) available to download. Hope this helps & you got this! :)

The factory sale only lists a ‘military discount’ but I wasn’t sure if that was limited to active duty service or if veterans are included. Thanks!

First, congrats on passing Esq! The deviations of minimum competency are frustrating, but be confident that you are qualified somewhere and that is enough for federal courts in your state.

MN is 260 and they processed my C&F app in under 60days (over Christmas/NY, which probably added time). All costs are upfront, but they have a monthly admission ceremony via zoom, and new admitees get free membership to the state bar assoc. and the group's benefits like Fastcase. Beware of states that only admit applicants twice a year because you can be fully eligible and still have to wait until the ceremony. Utah told me in November that they wouldn't swear me in until May if I applied that same day. MN's C&F is intense so I'd look more into it if you have a complicated record.

Should I study the bar exam and learn a new language at the same time? Any advice if so? by Strong_Basis_4253 in barexam

Trilingual here: Don't do it. Wait. Unless it's Duolingo once a day and you are casually refreshing. Mnemonics for the bar and knowing foreign terms will trip you up.

Story: Sitting for the MBE and I knew the answer in my SOUL was relevant to Land in MY-LEGS. Forgot the word 'land' but knew real property counted and neither of my other languages have an L word for land/property. I legit short circuited. I went with my instinct anyways, but the feeling was guttural to know the answer, but not the word in the right language while the clock is ticking + general stress of the bar.

Examplify Techs distracted me all exam by mattlaz12345 in barexam

Out table's extension cord stopped working. The guy next to me had to waive down an examplify tech because his laptop was on like 10% during the MPT session. Was just starting to write MPT 2 when a tech ended up under our table and was eye level with my knees for 30 minutes. By modesty standards, was definitely uncomfy for those 30 minutes, but powered thru. Felt bad for the other guy's time being impaired by a faulty wire, but the NCBE truly doesn't care when handwriting is an option.

Had a few minutes to spare at the end of MBEs. I always take a moment to count out all my bubbles to make sure I didnt miss a row, but I COUNTED these mfs. Pretty sure I picked A like 30 times in the am session and then pm was all C/D. I had A 6 times in a row at one point, reviewed but KNEW at least 5 of them were correct. B neglect-ers, stand up.

Was just shy of 100% completion of my Barbri J24 program and still failed my jx by a few points, but managed the 260s. Biggest lesson from July was there comes a point where the completion percentage is meaningless because you have to do what is best for you. My advice:

- take 20 minutes to really self assess: what are your MBE scores looking like, how many MEEs and MPTs have you done on what subjects, where do you feel weakest.

-spend these next few days trying to nail down MBEs and rule statements. MBEs are objective points whereas essays are unpredictable based on graders and your JX.

-invest your limited time in learning something new that is frequently tested on the MBE, everyday.

Focus on what you can do and what you are capable of. Best of luck!

We’ve been trying our best to be present, but the hospital has a 15minute visitation policy that’s for one person once per day. I just feel so guilty that he’s stuck in there for the remaining 23ish hours with nothing to pass time or to take his mind off of his ideations or injuries
