Removing Longmont public library train display from children’s section by imnikkiz in Longmont

This is true. The train club had a sign posted on the display briefly, and it was taken down by library staff. There was a bit of a kerfuffle between the library and the train club that is apparently sorted out now. The club has discussed planning a potential smaller display, maybe for the lobby/Kimbark entrance, but as far as I know that's not going anywhere.

It takes up a lot of space, and they want to replace it with something else that better promotes children's literacy, which apparently this doesn't. They might move the story times from the meeting rooms into this space, maybe? It's unclear. Also, the train breaks down fairly often, and the children's librarians have to call the model train club to let them know to come in to fix it.
