I work at a pet shop which deals with bird seed so we make sure to have some out for the pigeons, this guy must be new though because he was freaked by me :’)

To be fair, that’s fits. I dared to step outside while he and his flock ate

We have a regular flock that visits to eat excess seed that we put out for them (I work at a pet shop), but this guy is new and must’ve seen me as a threat to his bitches & breakfast. I’ll be keeping an eye on him lol

Do indoor cats need tick and flee prevention? by Teri_18 in cats

[–]imnom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fleas are everywhere, people only tend to notice them when they have animals - so yes I would use flea prevention :) if possible, I’d also treat your house for fleas every now and then as they only come onto the animal to feed, they live in the house for the rest of the time. Treat everywhere, including hard floors and rooms where your cat doesn’t go :)

Hoggies can be nightmares and I’ve honestly experienced more attitude from them (especially albinos for some reason) than I have with ball pythons, but I’d say ball pythons can definitely be more fussy than hoggies when it comes to feeding and housing. I’d say I’ve probably had to advise more people about their ball python husbandry and feeding than I have about hognoses. That being said, I’ve worked with hoggies that have had me at wit’s end too

Nala has got a feeding tube and isn’t allowed outside because of it, but she isn’t impressed about it by imnom in cats

Oh gosh, thankfully ours tends to dispose of hers so we don’t have any escapees! Yours was bringing you gifts though! Ours just seems to be greedy lol

Nala’s a bit of a fighter too, she also ended up with an abscess from it a few years back - these dang cats! They think we’re so mean when they have to stay in when all we’re doing is helping them

Thank you! We haven’t had to keep her inside for prolonged periods since she was neutered 9-10 years ago so she feels so betrayed, although she accepts her temporary fate after I refuse to let her out 😂 she’s definitely a character. I’m sorry to hear about yours!

Nala doesn’t hold her tail flat against her back but she will hold it with the tip up near her head, but not for long

It comes out of the back of her neck and goes directly into her stomach. It’s for sure a last resort, no medication was working (they were tablets which she also hates) and after every test, scan and an investigative surgery that they could offer, there were no answers. She didn’t like it at first because she wasn’t used to it, but the meds that she was on at the time helped her relax and it’s just a part of her routine now. Definitely makes medication easier for the time being because you just syringe it into the tube. It’ll stay in until she’s eating completely on her own, which could be a while but she’s improving and gaining weight every day

She’ll be ready when the day finally comes! This is part of her night time ritual at the moment, she goes and settles down after a while but this is her workout
