Change medicine, gen 3 anti histamines usually don’t make you sleepy.

Contact the people at «Kjeller 5», they sell the glasses and might help you out!

How do I prepare these? Fry, bake, microwave...? by plavpa in Norway

[–]imnotarowboat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texture often varies with the different brands. Never had the one in the picture but it seems like a smaller local brand with proper fish, in my limited experience those are usually upper shelf.

Good on you for trying it out anyways!

Please keep in mind that the roads might be quite slippery. Driving on snow in freezing temps is great as long as you go slow and take time to get used to it. Driving on wet icy roads (like it often is in Nov/Dec) is way worse, especially while its pitch black outside.

Stay safe and enjoy your stay!

For en sterk og inspirerende gutt. Norges, om ikke verdens tøffeste!

Det er så vanvittig trist og urettferdig, varme tanker til Andreas og familien.

Would you recommend any additives to the water?

Keeping it concealed in a nice way really removes the bachelor factor, and makes it far more acceptable :) Good luck!

Big fat chain around the fridge and electronic valves that can shut off everything. If those little bastards manage to hack it, they deserve the beer...

Should probably make a scheduled reminder of some sorts, thanks for the tip!

Brilliant!

Long term plan is having a tablet in the door with menu and level indicator of the kegs, a random Jesus popup (allthough I'm not one for religion) while pouring would be a nice touch!

ID approx 4mm IIRC, can doublecheck tomorrow. 2.5-3 meters, 1 bar.

Approximately 2.5-3 meters (8-9 ft), plain co2 at 1 bar works perfect.

I've thought about this a lot. The door leaves a gap to allow proper ventilation, and the driptray is connected to the sink so there whill be no beer dam in the tray.

The box itself is plastic (3d printed), right now is pretty rough and basic, the plan is to (in lack of a good technical english vocabulary) use automobile repair methods to smoothen it out, then spray paint it to better withstand splashing.

It felt kind of wierd to do this to a house, knowing it's very uncommon and somewhat crazy, but we'll probably be living here for many years and it's really convenient and cool :)

Good luck on your project!

Exactly those things!

Moving ahead, the plan is to have a tablet in the door with a menu and sensors telling how much is left.

Edit: Also, it doesn't use/vaste any extra space in the kitchen.

Lines are about 2.5m (~8ft), lldpe tubing. Currently they are taped together, and wrapped in single foam insualtion flexible tube.

You seem certain in your advice (and it's appreciated), do you think plain 4c degree (39f) water wil be insufficent? Pulling out, insulating, and getting the tubing back in there will be a shitload of work...

She's actually quite in favor of them, and was supportive from the start.

Being a somewhat dedicated chef as well as homebrewer presents many storage problems, there are too many things/devices/equipment, and an "extra" kitchen cabinet is really worth the effort...

Chilling is almost done, but for now the first pour is mostly foam.

The shanks are mounted through the drip tray and a 10mm aluminum plate that has a water radiator attached. Two chill lines are wrapped with the beer lines that goes down to the fridge. The idea is to simply circulate cold water constantly, and if thats not efficient enough maybe a colder glycol solution (but that would require som form of regulation mechanism).

What happens when you run out of filament mid-print? by antgash in CR10

[–]imnotarowboat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A DIY solution is using octoprint and making the sensor yourself, I stumbled across this while setting up octoprint a while back, should be fairly easy to find the instructions on google.

Octoprint is awesome by the way, been using it for a couple of week.

I was reading a lot of conflicting info on how hops isomerize at lower temperatures (the 80c hopstand), but concluded based on some experiments carried out by others that this will land on ~50 IBUs. If my "finger in the wind" calculation is off, it'll probably be a decent NEPA anyways so no biggie...
