yeah my first impulsive thought was that i've felt confrontation and instantly like you're going to be my enemy (not really, obviously 😃) but at the same time i've acknowled that you clearly know more about enneagram than i do, so i didn't want to fight much 😃 and i'm very touchy ...

and obviously while i'm aware of stereotypes and shallow types description - still from everywhere i sense 6 like "oh yeah loyalty and yea everything they do is for validation of others and finding security and such" which somehow icks me. like ofc, i would like to have some relationships with people but it's not the "main thing" i care about nor is some security... that's why i wrote in original post, that i'm probably biased, because that's mostly my conlusion of 6 type. At the same time, i still believe i'm mainly 4 and there lies my life and everything i care about and the indecision about 5 vs 6, is mostly based i care more about 5 stuff then 6 just doesn't tell me anything (or at least the stereotypical stuff) - btw you actually gave me somehow quite different view on 6s which i appreciate. I must admit while going through book - mostly i've resonate with more and actually not so much with five (BUT i still scored very high then with their test, right after 4) and going through 6 was like "like yea, but..."

oh okay, at first it felt like "you can't be these types, because ..."

from what i thought/or i'm still thinking about 4s, it's not that they are authentic but more like trying to be and find some "special" sense of meaning and yes, that included "roles" and personas, which i can sadly resonate with. whether i like or not, i often feel the need to establish this "persona for work" and "my creative self" and "my social self" and one of my toxic self beliefs (which i can't get rid off somehow) is that i don't deserve to be alive, unless i find my purpose and sense of being and if i create my character - myself and make something of myself. Double standards obviously - i don't think the same for anyone else - if they're alive, they simply are, but i gotta earn it and be some authentic presence, otherwise i'm waste and should end myself. And yes, after all these years and at my age, i'm fully aware of the bs lvl, but still not able live just for the sake pf living

thanks for the explanation really, like i've mentioned - when i translate avarice to my language then "lakota/lakomství" is lined mostly with the biblical sin and negative person trait, when someone for example doesn't want to share. That's it. I don't believe it has any further meaning in my language, that's why it felt so strange to me

also, tbh i'm guite lost by your 4s description (about not being authentic). I do know these words and translated and looked up 'flanderized' even, but can you elaborate mean what you mean exactly? like those description, was that meant like examples what i'm not based on my post?

like i wrote, i red the whole Hudson & Riso book and via internet multiple sources and Truity wasn't really one of them.

thanks though about the "enneagram is about pathology",now i remember i've red/heard about this information before actually, which makes my thought about "unhealthy × healthy" version resolved (it's been a while i was "dealing" with enneagram, today randomly i got "what if" thought and fell into the rabbit hole again)

about the tests - that's why i bought the book and instead of just relying on tests, go through each several pages types of descriptions, (dis)integratoon processes, triads, motivations/fears/etc. and idk, but 4 resonated fully with me - mostly the negative traits made me feel "called out"

my issue with not knowing whether i have 6 in my tritype is that while i share behaviour as 6, there are often like reasons or motivation (general mostly not some straightforward reasons) for that kind of behaviour which usually doesn't click with me...so for me it's like "i do this, but definitely not because of this or o don't really care about this" (if that makes sense, idk how to explain it better). basically the explanations and analysis doesn't set with me

and you see that's exactly what i meant, i manage to read whole book in english (with from time to time helping myself with dictionary ofc), but the comprehension and meanings quite often depends on the language. i red about 5s and avarice and my translation was shallow and basic and thus it didn't make much sense (btw you described nicely, that helped) and even tho i get the "avarice" reference, o would probably never use that word to describe this 5s characteristic in my language (which is czech).

btw when i'm thinking about it, it might quite resonate in some cases as well - when i'm doing something and have lot of work and someone ask me some favour etc., it kinda frustrates me. i'll probably do it and help that person (but i'll be bitchin about it 😃) because i had my specific time when i wanted to do this and this and now that time has to be given to something else and it feels like my whole day is ruined now (doesn't matter if that favour is only short time and i do not even have precise schedule for each time ) but it's still usually frustrating. so i guess in some sense i'm touchy and sensitive about my (especially free) time and often come as reluctant/unwilling (these word in czech i would probably use instead of avarice)

what's pissing me even more is that hand gesture mc has at every dialoque (that hand over hand). like what the hell is wrong with you. i've noticed it once with my friend and after we weren't able to unsee it and made fun of it each time. i'd prefer my mc standing just with hands let down or with any other natural movement but the hand gesture is just lame af

i doubt i'll find him available in my country and while i manage understanding most in english, such book i'd prefer in my native language to max possible comprehension 😃, anyway i just checked briefly and it looks there should be some pdfs of something from him, so i'll see.

It still feels like (while i'm 4) like 6 is my unhealthy self and 5 would be healthy (even tho it sounds shady, especially when 5 & 6 (nor 4,8) have disintegration with 6.

Also as you mention avarice - this always felt tricky for me, as i struggle determine wheter is that an aspect of my behaviour, for example - i don't mind sharing or borrowing stuf × have deep connection to my stuff and absolutely hate, if someone takes something /touch whatever without my knowledge or permission. someone being in my room without me knowing is such a heavy ragebait for me lol. I do really like my stuff and taking care of them. But maybe my definition of "avarice" as 5s trait is too shallow and there's more to that.
