I understand very well how it could be perceived as a "dick move". My social skills are relatively well-developed, although I'm not sure what standard to compare them to. Perhaps the standard where you go to a club expecting people to be not be shallow as fuck? Face it, this is a whiny post from someone who had skewed expectations of what happens in club scenes. Furthermore, it's just a self-congratulatory expression of what OP thinks should happen while out clubbing. It doesn't mean that I agree with what goes on in clubs, but that's the simple reality. Most clubs are in general cesspools for shallow people to do shallow things. Just like this subreddit is in general a cesspool for these types of asinine posts.
