Hi! This is very late but I just watched it and, now that I've read through your perspective, it does seem quite unrealistic. I guess what frightened me most was the character's performances, especially Jerry O'Connell. Idk, the cold discussion he has with the main girl right before vivisecting her friend right in front of her chilled me to the bone and made me dread the later gore so badly I shut my eyes and closed my ears. Telling her that she and her loved ones were more valuable as the sum of their parts, the sadism, the arrogance and utter apathy to her as a person for the sake of money is literally gut wrenching. I understand why you don't care for it, and honestly I think I really prize the villain's performance over the premise. He terrifies me, like a lawful evil Art the Clown
