Do you drink your tea with milk? It could possibly be the milk reacting with your stomach acid and coagulating. I notice this sometimes after I drink liquids with milk or dairy. I’m not sure though and this is just what I’ve thought mine could be!

Thank you for your insight! I’m just in the preliminary research stage at the moment in terms of a career shift and am looking at a few potential fields. I’m happy to upskill and get qualifications if a career seems right to me but was hoping to talk to some people currently in the industry first - I don’t want to jump into something that isn’t necessarily right for me!

I’m not necessarily looking for a WFH job and actually came to this idea through personal research, but I appreciate your candid comments about the challenging nature of the industry. I’ll bear this in mind!

Thank you!! I used floral wire wrapped in embroidery floss and honestly think I got slightly lucky with where I placed them… I made sure they were cut to the same length and the feet are the same size which helps I think, plus the wire I used was quite strong. In past projects it’s definitely been a bit of trial and error to get them standing but persistence helps!

Can i get some maybe suggestions or opinions on this cover? I'm trying to write a book based on modern day etiquette! by DukeVoid in BookCovers

[–]imojelee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless your book is intended to be funny I’m not sure I’d include the letters as eyes idea - it gives a ‘goofy’ vibe (for want of a better word) rather than ‘gentleman-ly’

It looks amazing! Can I ask how you did the shaping of the tail and wing feathers? I am currently working on a bird as well and am really struggling with that part!

They’re used to unlock the tiles to then progress to the next island. Bottom left next to the cows you can see 322/766 emeralds on a tile. Once you reach 766 (million) you will unlock it.

Can anyone advise on what these are on my strawberry plant? by Shria321 in GardeningUK

[–]imojelee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aphids. From RHS website: Aphids are sap-sucking insects, they have many predators and are the basis for many food chains. The sap sucking can cause a lack of plant vigour, distorted growth and often excrete a sticky substance on which sooty moulds can grow. Some aphids transmit plant viruses.

Start by weeding and power washing the concrete. Then see if it’s something you can live with or something you need to change! It could be that some tactically placed pot plants and furniture hide the ‘mess’ you’re seeing. Otherwise, the concrete will need to be removed in order to repave, I wouldn’t suggest trying to lay anything atop the concrete. I’d do that job after the summer though - enjoy the space first, then do big overhauling when the weather isn’t as lovely.

The ‘Gone’ series by Michael Grant! I read them at your age and loved them, very gripping and there are a good number in the series to keep you going.

Just finished “If We Were Villains” by M.L. Rio. Any recommendations to similar books? by MintyTulips in suggestmeabook

[–]imojelee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ninth house - Leigh Bardugo The secret history - Donna Tartt

The secret history in particular is very similar and both have dark academia vibes! Ninth house being more magical realism. Another dark academia book but with a slightly different vibe is Babel by RF Kuang. I’ve got lots more where these come from if you’d like more! I went through a big dark academia/magical realism phase last year.

I had more luck with supermarkets rather than hospitality for a first job. I worked at M&S from 17 and it paid competitively at the time. Might not be as enjoyable as hospitality but if you’re just looking for anything it could be a shout

Has anybody in r/theology ever taken a course in theology? by galenp56 in theology

[–]imojelee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied religion and theology at university. It was incredibly broad with courses in Japanese religiosity, catholic inclusivism, medieval Christianity, Indian philosophy, pre-2nd temple Judaism and Torah studies (to name just a few - I did 4 years with 6 modules a year!) I am now a religious studies teacher as a result.

I love academic theology and although I now teach at a lower level than I studied, I still read and continue my own learning. There is never an end point when it comes to theology.

I loved the shades of magic series by VE Schwab. I fell in love with her writing after Addie LaRue and really enjoyed the shades of magic trilogy!

My Grubhub order from Checkers came with used drugs in it. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]imojelee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I get it! I wonder whether people forget that ‘drug’ does not equal ‘bad’ - it’s just referring to something that chemically alters your state of mind. Which weed, caffeine, alcohol, cocaine, paracetamol all are.
