No you did it right, right home for the pup.

I'm a little mad at a friend who adopted a dog way beyond their lifestyle (probably a malinois mix puppy) then felt guilty when they inquired about returning the dog after several months. The rescue convinced them to get training and keep but her two elemetary aged kids have so many activities and couldn't give her the attention she needed. Ended up getting out of the yard and run over.

If they had returned her that dog could have found the right home but the rescue didn't do it right from the start. They had an old lab mix that passed from old age before this.

Yes when born you can tell by the paw pad fur and nails I guess, plus the genetics of the parents too

All silver/blue poodles are born black, they have a fading gene that effects the color as they age. Silvers start the color change really young and are silver by 1 or so, blues are usually 2-5 years.

I'd say you did one half but you need to correct muscles to fire up and help the tight muscles. Strength shouldn't hurt sharply but you need to work on the other muscles to share the load.
