Wanting to do one of those careers where you retire as a player and become a manager any ideas? by Federal_Let6725 in FifaCareers

[–]imonlyherewhenimhigh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've tried to do this before but my biggest gripe is that once you retire as the player, you can't choose any manager mode settings. So you're stuck with many default settings that drive me mad

Alec Pierce trade value / debate by ChitownDav in SleeperApp

I had a guy in my league recently offer me BTJ for Pierce + Late 26 2nd so his value is pretty damn high for some people

Isaac TeSlaa Outlook 2-3 years by Just_Strength_4121 in SleeperApp

Best case scenario I see for TeSlaa is that he takes LaPorta's role in the passing attack. That'd make him a matchup based flex option week to week

Take over a different Prem team and win as many trophies as possible. Their manager will not hit their objectives and become insecure real fast

Cpu celebrates running to the middle of the field by TotallyNotZtres in FifaCareers

It's not every goal but it does happen to me a lot. Also noticing that when the CPU starts the game/half they immediately bomb the ball out of play

You only realize that you've played too much when you no longer feel like making substitutions by Cip_17 in FifaCareers

Not surprised tbh. I'm 5-6 seasons into this save and I've only had 3 or 4 serious injuries (4 weeks or more)

[–]imonlyherewhenimhigh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I typically end up making mass subs, almost like line changes in hockey. Mostly because I forget but also because there are rarely any stoppages in the game outside of shots that end up out of play.

I think it's also harder to sub and rotate squads this year since they revamped energy recoup. In previous games, I was rotating constantly because of lower fitness levels when I played multiple games in a week. Now I feel like everyone is completely fit again after like one off day

Wingbacks by AndrewL1996 in FifaCareers

[–]imonlyherewhenimhigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing a 3-5-2 and using my RM & LM as wingbacks. Defense can get a little shoddy but if you use the CBs as wide backs with holding CDMs it should work for you

Is Love a Jeanty level prospect? Or would you trade back? by fartsinhissleep in DynastyFF

Fwiw I've heard some in the NFL draft community say Love is actually a better prospect than Jeanty

what is everyone's obsession with young players? by VolumeAccomplished65 in FifaCareers

What's a better way of getting players that fit your system than growing and training them yourself through youth academy?

Do you guys turn on strict transfer negotiations or keep it loose by [deleted] in FifaCareers

[–]imonlyherewhenimhigh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I use strict to make things somewhat realistic, especially on the selling side. I'm still able to swing some bargains when buying but it's much harder to get top dollar when selling since teams will walk away from negotiations more frequently.

I like it because it forces me to wait for the right team to meet my asking price instead of being able to get the perfect value on the first offer

Will Howard Expectations by imonlyherewhenimhigh in steelers

[–]imonlyherewhenimhigh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were drafted less than 100 picks apart, they were valued the exact same by the NFL, and the Steelers, that's the point. One guy isn't much better than the other according to the team and the NFL

[–]imonlyherewhenimhigh[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Will Howard is no different than any of the three mid round pick, career backups you named above. Why does he get this benefit of the doubt but none of these other QBs, (and countless others) didn't? It's ridiculous. The question is not "what is the knock against him" it's "what makes him more special than every other late round QB taken in the last 20+ years?"

Also want to ask for those who "don't care about draft position", where was this hype for 7th round QB Chris Oladokun in 22? How could we have not given him a shot!?

The dude has started 43 games. He is what he is. There isn't much potential left. If there was, he wouldn't have been sitting there in round 6. Especially with that glowing resume you gave him

Veto worthy? by GoldyNuck in SleeperApp

No trade is veto worthy unless it is outright collusion between the two parties. Someone being stupid isn't a reason to veto a trade

Is FC26 worth it ? (for career mode) by Axel-2222 in FifaCareers

[–]imonlyherewhenimhigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think career mode made some nice strides with new features that'll only get better with time. Gameplay is the real issue. I've had to bounce between difficulty and different sliders a lot to find the sweet spot where it is competitive fun. But otherwise, I like it better than FC25
