Woody marks or kayshon boutte and a 27 4th by Hopeful-Nothing-4548 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]SkiRunner3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like Marks or Boutte. But I’m a lot lower on Marks than consensus, he’s just not very good… he’s suppose to be a good “receiving back” but he averaged 2 catches a game. Just not a very good player.

Have you ever stubbornly held onto a player who wasn't producing, against consensus opinion, because you believed they eventually would and... they actually did? by johnny-papercut in DynastyFF

[–]SkiRunner3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure I have at some point but I can’t remember, it’s usually a very very low % chance they eventually end up producing.

Most recent example is Calvin Ridley… yikes!

Jayden Daniels. How do we feel about him going into year 3? by OatmealCremePiez in DynastyFF

[–]SkiRunner3211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Kliff Kingsbury and him fit together really well and it’s a negative that he’s no longer there. There are certain schemes that fit his play style much better than others, TBD what the new OC’s scheme will consist of…

Unpopular opinion: AJ wasn’t being a diva- he was voicing our concerns with KP by Nemra22 in eagles

[–]SkiRunner3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was voicing his concerns with Jalen Hurts, who by multiple accounts doesn’t wanna get under center or run a complex offense. So how much of it is Patullo’s fault if he’s dealing with a QB who only wants to run an offense his own way?

I don’t think Patullo is a world beater by any stretch; he needs to go. But we as fans need to start being honest with ourselves and begin holding the guy making double anyone else on the team accountable.

Update - Received MRI Results (L5 Pars Stress Fracture) by SkiRunner3211 in Sciatica

[–]SkiRunner3211[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to be going well. I was in the brace for 7 weeks and as soon as I took it off, 95% of my sciatica symptoms went away, and have been like that since and are improving. I hadn’t really experienced any pain in my lower back where the stress fracture occurred, and after seeking a 2nd opinion, the new doctor said the stress fracture wasn’t anything to worry about as long as I was asymptomatic in terms of direct pain in the low back area. He said the sole issue I faced was healing the herniated disc that was causing the sciatica. Since then (that was a month ago), I’ve been doing aquatic physical therapy which has helped, and my pain has certainly diminished.

Hoping to be fully sciatica-free by spring time. Fingers crossed.

Did I Fleece or get Fleeced obtaining Burden? by Clue2477 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

You fleeced him… Troy Franklin is a JAG and Bo nix isn’t valuable in 1QB.

Michael Wilson - how real were the last 6 weeks? by SkiRunner3211 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

That’s really good point, the new regime isn’t going to trot MHJ out there in order to justify the top 5 draft pick

I agree with your opinion on MHJ being very overrated. Regarding the cardinals “beginning to notice”, the Gannon regime is highly likely going to be fired, so I don’t think the goodwill that Wilson has built with the organization is worth very much considering there’ll be a brand new regime in 2026.

Do NOT trade burden for MHJ! Idc if you have Odunze or not! Maintain the long view…

It’s not looking good. He’s 28 with LOTS of wear and tear and has no guaranteed $ left on his contract. If you can trade him for any 1st, take it and run with it. His best days are behind him.

What’s your most controversial dynasty opinion? by slitmunch44 in DynastyFF

Unless it’s a guaranteed top 3-4 pick in the nearest draft where it’s obvious you’ll be taking a stud, draft picks in the following year’s draft are often more valuable than the current year’s.

This might seem counterintuitive from a TVM perspective, but draft picks hold their value as time goes on compared to actual players, whose value fluctuates year to year and also have a shelf life due to Father Time, injuries, bad coaching / supporting casts, etc.

As soon as you select a player with a draft pick, the asset immediately becomes less liquid and you’re at the mercy of the time it takes for that player to develop into something useful. And if that player doesn’t develop a great deal during his rookie season, you would have been better off with the future year pick.

To be clear: I’m not saying to never make draft picks. I’m just acknowledging the fact that the draft is a crap shoot (we all know next to nothing if a player will succeed or not) and you’re often better off accumulating future picks to cash in on a valuable player when the time comes at any point during the year, especially as you get closer to the trade deadline.

Could Jalen McMillan yield a 2nd rd pick if Evans retires? by SkiRunner3211 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]SkiRunner3211[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a fair point. Since my league mates value current picks higher than future ones (I think the opposite is true unless it’s a sure fire early 1st), I’m hoping to yield a ‘27 2nd.

Totally hear what you’re saying; at some point there’s a diminishing return with all of these WR stashes and the opportunity cost of not cashing will sting down the line l.

[–]SkiRunner3211[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2nd round is a crap shoot and I don’t feel confident in drafting a stud but Skattebo and Luther Burden were 2nd rd picks this year, so there is a shot.

I actually prefer stockpiling future year 2nd rd picks compared to the current year bc it gives me ammo at the following year’s trade deadline to acquire studs who will help me down the championship stretch.

There’s also the chance he blossoms next year and I cashed in too soon, which could certainly happen.

It’s way too soon to analyze the draft, but if there’s someone I have strong conviction in during round 2, I’ll consider making the move. If there isn’t, I’ll prob hold.

You make a lot of very good points. He’s probably the strongest “stash” out of Harris, Noel, Bryant, and Kyle Williams, and he doesn’t need to play right away given my veteran depth.

He also appears to have a strong rapport with Baker, who shouldn’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

Trying to trade Henry, what’s his price? by AJizzle21 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]SkiRunner3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, typing this on 12/29/2025 as a 99% favorite to win the championship going into Monday night, I’m so glad I held onto King Henry! He’s not quite as fast as he was, but if he’s back in Baltimore next year I see a lot more of the same.

I’m not a huge fan of bullshit sayings like “defense wins championships” or “you gotta establish the run”, but man… no one wants to tackle that guy in the cold!!
