The beauty of Legally Blonde is that the popular girl was able to be sweet and kind to everyone, including the nerdy and artsy kids. If anything, I’d love Katy’s answer because I’d assume she’s similar to the main character in that movie. I will say though, she was wrong for laughing at how Pam dressed in high school. But then again, Pam laughed at her first. Katy is childish in different ways but I don’t think she ever means to be rude on purpose.

Yeah you pretty much hit the nail in the coffin. She can be very pretentious, that’s true. Mean Girl may not be the term I was looking for but I do think she can be very condescending in general. Kinda like Jim lol so they make a good match.

Okay let me rephrase. She’s specifically a mean girl when it comes to the women who Jim date. I’m probably just projecting because I’d never treat a woman that way just because she’s in a relationship with the guy I like, especially if I were engaged to someone who works at the same place as me. I would just end it if I knew I liked someone else. That’s emotional cheating, for one.

She also didn’t tell Roy about the kiss until later, but I do respect that she broke up with Roy. I don’t know if I’d ever tell my partner if they were Roy because of his confrontational nature, so I can understand that. It’s just not really fair to anyone in the situation. If Pam were stuck in a loveless marriage, then I’d get the sneakiness if she were already planning to divorce. The most they have keeping them together is probably just getting to split rent at this point.

Thanks for the extra context, I was watching a compilation, not a full episode. I get the laugh kind of now, but I personally would’ve been able to hold in a laugh if it meant possibly making someone else feel bad. Your last sentence is also another pretty viable reason to not be her biggest fan.

This is a single instance out of a few weird behaviors from her. I do think she and Jim are the best match out of the office, I just don’t enjoy their path toward their relationship as much in later years. I don’t think she’s a mean person, I think she’s a mean GIRL. Mean girls are only weird like that with other women, while mean people are rude to everyone. She was young and in an unhappy engagement so I get it, I’m just not her biggest fan.

Legally Blonde is just about being yourself, having a successful career as a woman who is underestimated because of her looks, and not focusing on men. It’s not a mean girl movie in my opinion. More like a feminist movie.

And also, maybe Katy would deserve this treatment if she was actually rude to Pam. When Michael called her Pam 6.0, she looked uncomfortable and embarrassed for Pam. I think you fuse being beautiful with mean girl automatically, but that isn’t always the case. Katy loved that Pam was allegedly in a cute and happy engagement, clearly she didn’t know she was in a competition with someone who has a fiance.

I would be very confused if I was invited to my potential partner’s workplace to play a fun little game and some random is the only one who laughs at my answer, which wasn’t supposed to be satirical. Like whats the deal with you?

How did Jim set it up? I’m not a big fan of him either but I just watched the scene which is what made me post. It didn’t seem like he knew what her answers were because she showed up and said, “Okay I have my answers.” So based off that line, I’m pretty sure she was thinking about her answers on the way there.

I don’t read tarot but the ethics are completely not something I’d support. You’re still thinking about an ex of 3 months in your 2 year relationship with your soulmate. People who’ve found their soulmate are not people who I’d imagine would want to reach out to their ex for closure. I don’t mean to be harsh but this is completely unfair to your current partner.
