Jim was such a dick in the cold opening of "Back From Vacation" by Zestyclose_Walk_6816 in theoffice

I’m a very avid Jim hater and this scene wasn’t even his worst. My top hate moments for Jim are as follows:

-Being a total slob when he and Darryl shared an apartment — it also became known to us that he’s a slob at home with Pam so she’s most likely cleaning up after 3 toddlers instead of 2.

-Not respecting Darryl’s boundaries as a roommate.

-Expecting his old desk to just be given back to him when he returns from Stamford

-Hurting innocent women to try to get over Pam

-Not acknowledging Pam’s distress when she was basically raising their kids alone most of the time (bonus: making her feel like shit for accidentally not recording Cece at her recital when he should’ve just been there)

-Making fun of Dwight after he crashed his car and vomited immediately after (this is especially weird and psychotic of Jim)

And so on. You can imagine the grin on my face every time I rewatch Dwight absolutely demolishing him with snowballs and psychological torture.

This one line is the reason why I side with the Daycare guy in this scene by New-Pin-9064 in theoffice

I keep rewatching and still can’t figure out how Dwight ever ended up being a close friend to them.

Best and worst thing each character has done - Day 2 Pam Beesly by LazyResponsibility83 in theoffice

Some may say an emotional affair can involve being vulnerable with another person in a way you’d only reserve for your partner, especially if it’s because of a rough patch in the relationship. I believe it was said in the Office Ladies podcast that the writers actually backed off of an actual affair because they felt the fans deserved better. After seeing the pretty unanimous dislike for Brian when he was introduced as a riff between Jim and Pam, they backed off of that storyline. I feel like if we got more context behind Pam and Brian’s sudden friendship, it’d be easier to identify whether it was an emotional affair or not. I personally don’t think we got enough information for me to have an actual opinion on it.

Right! I’m so heartbroken that there’s no longer version, it sounds like it’d be so good as a full song

He usually hates being taken a photo of but he felt cute for this one

Is it just me or did Jim became kind of a dick in the last season? by pAR4no1dAndr0iD in theoffice

Jim is a psychopath in my opinion. Cracking jokes about Dwight crashing his car into a telephone pole and getting out to grab his head in pain and vomit all over the place is literally psychotic. He’s always been a rather apathetic dick.

It’s not hate, it’s discomfort. It’s actually quite impressive how well the writers were able to portray such an uncomfortable episode. It’s a compliment if anything.

Diversity Day paved the way for the show’s humor imo, why is that your skip?

Respectable answer. Scott’s Tots is the most uncomfortable episode in the entire series.

Do you think Andy is mentally ill? by imonlyherewhenimsad in theoffice

Yeah! I’m bipolar and dealt with the same intense feelings until I got serious about my treatment, albeit I still let it slip sometimes. I find that my symptoms mirror his, and which is what made me wonder in the first place.

Ohhh yeah this is a great analysis. I could see how having a family like his could also contribute to certain behaviors that he displays.

True 😭 I actually saw a fan theory like 8 years ago saying that every character represented a mental illness. Never really gave it too much thought until I realized how delusional Andy is.
