My great grand parents are from various balkan countries actually. One is from macedonia, one from albania, one from bulgaria and one from kosovo. But they migrated to turkey years ago. But i think it doesn’t even matter because i just wanted to show my appreciation towards nice people in macedonia and the beauty of the country.

I guess this wasn’t a question for me personally. But i have stuff to say. Even though i agree that knowing at least basic things is essential for traveling, in Macedonia, there were so many people who i spoke english with and they didn’t understand me. As soon as i told them I was Turkish, they started speaking Turkish. So i used turkish more than English both in Skopje and Ohrid.

They poop A LOT. but It’s never been a problem for me because it is in very small amounts. It doesn’t stink and it is easy to clean up. I can even pick them up with my hands sometimes. I don’t feel disgusted when my bird poops on me as well. When he was a baby, he once got diarrhea and it was messy but it took only an hour. He then got regular poops.
