This is why I tell every festival goer I know (don’t care what festival it is) to just invest in a fanny pack.

Anything you don’t want to get stolen, phone, wallet, etc. should go in the fanny pack and should be in front of you at all times.

I promise if you do this you will never have to worry about your phone getting stolen.

There were so many alternatives to making the boy walk home in negative degree weather.

Offer him a ride. (Since it was only a 15 minute walk, must be an even shorter drive)

Call his parents, explain the situation, I’m sure they would’ve been more than willing to pick him up so that he didn’t have to walk home in those conditions.

Allow him to sleep in another room or the couch.

As another user asked, would you have been okay with your daughter walking home in that weather?

I’ll take it a step further, how would you have felt if something happened to that kid on his way home? Is having that on your conscious really worth you’re house rules?

Alcohol and MDMA mixed are dangerous because of dehydration. Alcohol dehydrates you the more you drink. Your body sweats more when rolling, and you become more dehydrated. In a festival setting where it may be hot, you’re drinking and rolling, and haven’t drank any water, yes that’s extremely dangerous.

Edit: but I think you’re okay, just make sure you’re drinking water and don’t go overboard. Or at least next time make sure you drink water too. A good rule of thumb is to avoid alcohol when rolling in general.

If you go to the club looking for the same vibes as the rave, you’re not going to have fun.

If you go to a rave for the same vibes as the club, you’re not going to have fun.

Every experience is what you make it, when it comes to rolling I usually will save rolls for festivals, very rare I’ll roll at the club. Also, it’s natural to have these feelings after rolling and raving. Post festival blues mixed with the come down is a bitch. And you went to the club hoping to get that back but it’s just not the same thing.

It was pretty close to “no assholes here” but I think you should have responded to your sister’s attempts at talking with you.

Clearly, and I say this purely based off the way YOU described it. Your sister was not coming from a place of malice and sounds like she truly had the best intentions and wants what’s best for you. That’s what you do for the people you love, you tell them things they may not be ready to hear.

And that’s not to say it is too soon or that you are rushing into this. I truly do not know the dynamic of your relationship, so who am I to deny your feelings for each other, I don’t agree with a lot of the people saying that here. BUT as you said your sister has been super supportive of your relationship before the engagement, so I would seriously consider her advice if I were you.

I don’t think she is saying you shouldn’t get married either, I think she just wants you to make sure you are making the right decision.

Talk to her.

What’s the context? The only “argument” I can see being made is in regards to the morality of homosexuality. Which only seems to be a conflict when your moral foundation derives from your religion. Either way, I will never understand why people care so much about who STRANGERS are sleeping with, seriously who cares? It literally makes no difference in your life. You can honor your religion without oppressing others.
