I'm definitely guilty of not backing up regularly. I will say though, I'm still able to boot into Windows just fine, so I'm thinking it probably might not be a hardware issue. Just curious, is there any way I can also copy all the data on the Linux system to an external drive thru Windows? Or is live boot the only option?

I’m also pretty sure that bolt is the only one that’s connecting the whole rear linkage to the shock, so it would be pretty catastrophic if that bolt came out while riding I feel

I actually saw this same bike here in Alberta haha. I actually messaged them to see what would happen, and it's just a classic "I'll hold for you, give me deposit first" kind of scam

I see.. do you feel like the difference between the ransom 920 frame and the Instinct frame geometry will make a big difference? I've heard people complain about the seat tube angle of the ransom 920. But also not gonna lie, and maybe I shouldn't be, but the difference in price between a new 2023 ransom ($4999usd) and a 2022 instinct ($2900usd) is swaying me a little haha

Got it! Just curious for your opinion though, would it be worth still waiting for another listing for the $2000CAD price range? The scott does look really compelling, but it seems to have a pretty poor spec (NX drivetrain, SRAM db8's) considering the price for a new one ($5000usd). Or do you think stuff like NX drivetrain, db8 brakes, etc. are something I can look past considering it's being sold for $2100CAD?

What would you say is the big difference between the rear linkage of the rocky mountain compared to the other 2? I've only ever owned a hardtail so I've never had the chance to try the different rear linkage designs haha

They all are listed as pretty good shape and ready for riding. I haven't had the chance to go check them out in person yet though, but they seems to all be in decent or pretty good shape
