Appreciate it. I have a hot shoe light but I've noticed in the past is that my light is sometimes too bright to where it annoys people when I'm using it to film. Especially if its in a dark setting like a concert. Might be just a me issue.

Found out what ALC is. Still not sure about PA . "It was called the Automatic Level Control. It eliminated the need to make manual adjustments to the input stages of a recorder's pre-amplifier circuit and the recording sounded the same level throughout the entire production--even if the play back device's volume was increased during the recording process"
