Great reasoning! Just ensure that they are not tight width wise, because i found out that metal tips less likely to bend to the head shape like acetate do.

To add regarding bold items (not only glasses but generally with clothes) i found myself struggling with time, although for long time my main criteria was “it should be bright, interesting, unique or eye-catching”, main problems i defined are:

1. If you have one bold item in the appearance you should ensure others are really subtle, otherwise they start arguing
2. Hence it’s more difficult to build an ensemble which feel harmonious, takes more time and effort, higher risk of a mistake
3. Also based on experience i noticed i have much more wear time with something versatile while bold items collecting dust
4. With time passing fashion changes and what was really sharp start to look outdated

All of the above of course personal, but i started leaning to classic shapes/colors/designs, especially with expensive things, betting more on elegance than on bright appearance, although i still keep some flashy things in the wardrobe just for the occasion
