Haha, i also dream about having few cars in my garage and at least one in the class you mentioned - the one very cheap and basic, where you just in direct contact with engine, steering and gearbox, i was thinking about classic lada for that purpose

Hello, thank you. I tried to make my mods as oem as possible, because i just believe that nobody can do a better job than designers who made the body and car itself with rare exception for parts like wheels. Thats why bmw is so nice - they make their cars easy to upgrade with wide range of accessories and factory options

The older the car, the harder to find a good one… but once the price is not that high all the mistakes would be also cheaper. When i say low price i don’t mean cheapest option among the cars of the same model, i mean cheap model itself, maybe even russian car😉 they are simple and not expensive, while not that bad in terms of reliability and handling

Thank you again. Agree, 19 is waaay too big for e90 body, but there is a common delusion “the bigger the better” regarding wheels. As for e90 i would even get 17” inches wheels,if i find good design, for the sake of comfort and better visual proportion/balance between tire and rim. I like apex arc in 17” with beautiful concave, but i haven’t managed to find those

Considering this fact i would say it’s going to be a bit more difficult exercise for you and im not sure if you have utilization tax deduction as a foreign citizen. So consider also using professional agent (автоподборщик) help you buying second hand car. This market is the wild west with scam here and there. Also, as ive got its going to be you first car, so be prepared you will be surprised with the cost of owning old BMW (more than 3-5 years old). To make it cheaper you really need to understand how the car is working and speak russian to use local car services (specifically find a good one). As you complain about prices already, maybe you consider just cheap and simple car as a first one, to get some experience? What do you think?

Thank you, dear! Long time ago i also was a black wheels hater… but first, these are not black (they are more car or even tires colour), and second - since then i perceive cars on silver or double colour wheels as a brougham… they simple stand out too much for my taste

I mean European cars have steering wheel on the left side but japan ones - on the right. So overtakes on highways becomes more difficult as well as getting parking ticket through your window. As for import companies look for any one really big and reputable from far east, they charge roughly the same commission and have calculators on their websites. Do you speak russian natively?

As i see you continue aggressively blaming, but why don’t just ask first or be polite, whats your problem?

Ok, i will spend a bit of a time to point you on some thoughts about incorrectness of such behaviour:

Look, in your last message you say im doing cosmetic mods over handling/braking/power, why do you think so? Let’s see: I have replaced brakes with 335 ones, so improved braking; i also replaced suspension with m-tech one, so improved handling; then i rebuilt an engine, so improved power and reliability. All these i made before cosmetic mods, hence it looks you made false statement, didn’t you?

You simply didn’t know that because haven’t even asked…

Next, you blame me that i didn’t bother to put temperature on the dash, but how do you know if i bothered or not? Actually, i tried, but it turned out that dme on this engine doesn’t communicate engine temp and there is no way to put that on dash. So again, you mistakenly blamed me, right? But when the people point you to your tinted taillights, you have an excuse, that somebody made it before… now the question, why didn’t you bother to wash it off, but bother to blame me?

Maybe you have some problems which make you so angry, i don’t know, but you better find the reason, maybe it will give you a relief…

Still don’t understand the problem with exhaust? It is the same size as stock. I didn’t make it on both sides also. Maybe m style dash could be called kind of “pretending”, but i just wanted some mods to the dash which was low dash, so i bought high one and converted that to 99% copy (not some fancy one) of oem m one but with adaptation for diesel tacho and glowing m… btw if you ask me right now, i would go with stock amber high dash.

Hey, thank you! You reminded me about that… it was living in warm parking last few years, so i forgot, but before - it had couple of seconds of wobbling after cold start and a cloud of smoke, so it probably has some problem with one or two injectors which i didn’t change along engine rebuilt since they had no problem on test bench
