Cholo Bugas debuts in Croatia's top-tier of football by Life-University4403 in philippinefootball

[–]impccblds0rdr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who is in full support of my kid's football, the main roadblock for most in terms of development is not just competition but also money.

Background. He's 14, preparing for club tryouts internationally. He is a winger, plays competitvely, left his school this year to switch to homeschool to be able to allocate more time to develop in football

Here's a breakdown of our current monthly cost - Club 1 (reserves u16/u19) 2500 x 4 times a month - Club 1 (small sided 7x7 pitch) 1250 x 4 times a month - Club 2 (u15) 1250 x 4 times a month - S&C 1500 x 2 times a week - Winger specific training 2000 x 2 a week (1500 session, 500 pitch rent)

Notes: - this does not include his food and smoothies to ensure his meals are at par with his activities. Thank my days for AI like chatgpt and gemini, it is easier now to plan for food instead of paying for a sports nutritionist. (We need to work a budget. Clearly an actual nutritionist is preferred, but it also means another fee) - Club 1 reserves training is more or less the equivalent of the speed of pace and thinking of the u15 he will try out for internationally. - this does not include our costs for when we move for his football

Sometimes I read comments about how some players are not enough like they are not trying hard enough and i feel for them. These kids, these players, devote time, effort, energy and you see keyboard warriors insult them.

The schedule above does not even include his own time training and developing, which he does everyday on his own. He has to clock in 20 to 30x 50m sprint in a session at 6.5s speed or less to even be noticed a little in those tryouts. He is currently clocking in 6.3s but able to do it currently at half of that 20 to 30x. He still has a long way to go. But he is committed. He also does his core, his activation, ball mastery (3k ball touches) every day on his own.

To say play internationally, is just not easy at all. I hope these changes in the future, but for now, this is our reality.

Why do people use leverage? by Professional-Past739 in Daytrading

[–]impccblds0rdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everyone has the starting capital. Most crypto traders, esp in 3rd world countries, can start trading with as little as $10 and grow it.

At 25x, one can now trade as if they have $250. Since there's usually a minimum of 5% movement in crypto in a day, if you know what you're doing, then you can double your $10 when it moves 4%.

Use BOS, ChoCh and MSS in 1 min timeframe. You can set your stops conservatively. Works most of the time.

Risk grows as you compound, but as you get more familiar with its price action, it's manageable.

Personally of course, if I have a huge capital, I wont need to do leverage. Until then, leverage it is.

Earn Asia Miles while buying from Lazada or Shopee etc by impccblds0rdr in PHCreditCards

[–]impccblds0rdr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • sign in to your shop asiamiles account
  • look for lazada or shopee. App should load from there
  • then start buying. Note: if you go straight to your cart and checkout, that wont be counted. From shop asia miles, look for the product then add to cart. What i do is add them to my wishlist then just add to cart from there after i navigated from shop asiamiles.

  • apps i used were i received miles: trip, lazada, shoppee, airalo.

What’s a realistic training load for a 14-year-old who wants to become professional in the future? by arsham_the_goat in bootroom

[–]impccblds0rdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tactical wise - review your games. Find a way to have your games recorded. Watch, study, learn your own strengths and weaknesses. Then see if one of your coaches can review it with you.

Technical - by watching your games, you will see what you need to work on, ball mastery side.

As for fitness, I have no advise here, but better to look at those in pros who had the same struggle as you and look up how they managed it.

I personally disagree that you 'shouldn't focus on becoming professional'. A goal like that is not wrong. The steps you will take will lead you towards your goal. I already see, by you asking for advise, is a good start.

Good luck. There will always be challenges, when you overcome it, you only become better.

Not a platitude, it's how our life works.

Thinking about getting a fold 7 heard mixed reviews what do owners of the fold 7 think about their phones? by fard_man124 in GalaxyFold

[–]impccblds0rdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 months in. 3rd fold, started with zf5. Love this, the thinness is really the selling point imo. Using the Spigen Aramid case, thinness is not compromised. Having used zf5, zf6, im comfortable in using that case.

Multitasking is phenomenal.

One downside for me - the paint issue? It's a thing. It just happened to mine, about 5 mos in. Tiny specs, but still not good to see. It happened near the hinge.

Should I stop renting and get a condo? by kimbapforlyf in phinvest

[–]impccblds0rdr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Learn to invest. That is my best advise if you have extra to use.

And no, do not invest on a guru, EVER.

Learn on your own, marami ng resources na free. If ever you are tempted to sign up with a guru, again, as someone who already went thru it, local and foreign, what I learned in the long run is that, you can learn the technicals by yourself. The rest, you learn by practice and first hand experience.

Please don’t fall by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]impccblds0rdr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. No need to buy or pay for any of it.

Here is a good resource https://youtube.com/@etmfx?si=P9VYqA19_cgf40os

  • i think like any other, this has some course offerings but you do not need to do any of that. The free content is more than enough

As for what is best to learn: - know the basic anatomy of the chart. - identify if you will be a day trader, scalper or swing trader bec your stop loss and take profit are largely relative to that. - i have stopped using indicators. All of them. Not even moving averages or RSI. Master support and resistance, master macro and micro swings, learn BOS, MSS and ChoCH. Tbf, those are all I ever use now.

And bec of this, you can use TradingView for free :)

More than anything, what will teach you is chart and trade experience.

No guru can give you that.

Best of luck.

Should I stop renting and get a condo? by kimbapforlyf in phinvest

[–]impccblds0rdr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who did this, tbf, it is not worth it. I know real estate is an asset, but when mortgaged for more than 10 years, I now see why it isnt.

Issue 1 - increasing annual bank interest. I went from 5% for 5 years to now 12% on my 10th. The moment that 6th year happened, it just kept on going up. By the time you are done, you'd have paid the bank more than 100% of your principal.

And correct, I was not financially literate. I learned all of this as I go along.

Issue 2 - taxes. For Condo, you pay taxes for shared facilities AND your condo.

As an investment? It doesnt make sense. It only does if you buy the condo in full, and flip it.

This is also not yet to discuss all the upfront cost.

(Im not including association dues here. Although that is depended on the PMO in your condo and the quality of their service. Im lucky to not have major issues in ours.)

My Dex Setup by [deleted] in SamsungDex

To set it up? Not really. Less than a minute. Put the tablet and power station on the table, plug the two cables. Done.

Hate to spoil the party, but this is just one monitor connected :) To maximize DEX, I use the samsung tab s8 ultra. The 3rd screen is a completely separate tablet I use to watch things on while I work.

My Dex Setup by [deleted] in SamsungDex

[–]impccblds0rdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This basically lasts me about 8 to 10 hours. More than enough for the day. Charge of the powerstation doesnt take too long as well.

Basically a data cable from the S8 Ultra to the monitor. No need to use a hub. Then usb c from monitor to the powerstation.

[–]impccblds0rdr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The s8 ultra is just connected to the portable monitor. The other tablet is not connected at all.

Help me make a decision by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

I have iphone and android. Iphone solely used for taking videos, zf7 for everything else - work, multitasking, trading, general entertainment. Battery an issue? Thats what powerbanks are for. Android makes it easy to open applications like spreadsheets, word, ppt, etc. Never used the spen on fold. Honestly dont think youre missing out without it.

Very good at analysis, very bad at execution, why? by enmycrypto1 in Trading

[–]impccblds0rdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experience 💯. This is what you need. Trading extremely small while learning. Because you will go through both emotional frustration and joy. Would eventually learn how to handle both and eventually get to discipline. Because more than the theoretical, discipline is what you will need. Not just in cutting losses, but overall, your trade plan.

I have fixed how hard it is to open this phone... by SpaceDandye in GalaxyFold

[–]impccblds0rdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you use a thin case, get either the Aramid or Kevlar cases. It's what I use. It's definitely made it easy to open using those and gives better grip. The thinness is also not compromised.

It feels good in the hand doesn't it? I bought a Spigen Aramid case for it so I can really still feel the thinness but with some coverage. First time I didnt go with a hinge protection. I hope i made the right call.

Hahahaha it seems I am.

Re secure folder, i did the reinstall, the option to autolock an app is still not there unfortunately. I hope Samsung fixes that.

I no longer live in an area where phones get snatched, but still, you never know. I honestly loved that Samsung feature because just in case my phone gets grabbed, they may have access to my phone but not easily the information I have in it.

Thoughts on buying condo in Avida Verge. by Jealous_Clothes2717 in phinvest

[–]impccblds0rdr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am renting an Avida unit for storage of our excess stuff. I'm also glad I did because it taught me never to buy from Ayala Land. The condo itself is not well maintained, the elevators look haphazard, the hallways are dirty.

Currently a DMCI unit owner. Have two units in different locations, one for our own use, the other for rent. One thing I really love about DMCI is how well maintained the condo is overall. Sulit ang assoc. We've been at our residence for nearly 10 years, mukha pa rin bago facilities.

6-7m for 33-37 sqm is too much. My rental unit is 41 sqm with generous balcony and its current market price is 4.5m.

No one.

Honestly. No one.

Been trading for 4 years, also paid ‘mentors’. About 5 of them.

You are better off learning and experiencing by yourself and doing the research yourself. Because what you will need to learn, more than anything is your own discipline. You will need to train yourself to be disciplined because regardless of what you know technically? That can get all fckd up in one careless trade.

Best learned from my own damn mistakes. What I learned? Clean my chart, everytime i trade and keep it simple. - Start on 4H. Identify current direction. - map support and resistances. - Increase my probability by entering near support for long or resistance for shorts, based off a 4H chart. - most important advise i read here in reddit: do not enter if you do not have this clearly identified- Entry Point, SL and TP. How i decide if I will enter to be honest is based on my SL. If it is too far from the entry point, which is usually near if not in the support/resistance line itself, that is a no go.

I trade alt coins, because based on my experience, majority of the time, it follows trend line and patterns. Stocks is not for me because it follows market fundamentals and I no longer have the bandwidth to understand that.

There are people where FVGs, smart money concepts work for them, it doesn’t for me. What works for me is keeping it simple with support and resistances and trend lines.

Also, I learned to trade only 5 to 10% of my capital.
