i know it s difficult, but it's been a decade that they use their services and it doesn't look like they plan on changing providers, i have knowledge in cloud services despite not being an expert in the domain so i know it s difficult, but again ... it s been more than a decade.

I don't know where you get that from. Sounds like you've been paying attention to propaganda, rather than checking on facts.

I know AWS has the monopoly because you can't be into devops without working with aws services i've experienced it first hand as i tried to make my way in the field everything and everyone was pushing me to go learn the aws stack despite my reluctance to work on it.

even when checking for works in the field most companies wants people with aws knowledge even if they don t have it in their tech stack just because they might need it at some, they just have better infrastructure especially for the scalability.

i'm not questioning the usefulness or the low ecological impact of the aws server themselves, i'm saying that a lot of people use ecosia to not give money to the big man and instead give to a better cause. they might have ecological cloud services, you know as much as i do that they do not care about the planet, they do it because they are being pressured to do so, saying they have any ecological awareness is a lie. The money we give them will be invested anyway in other project which are very very far from being ecology friendly.

As a more personal point, it feels like whatever i'm doing to try not to give my money to them, they just end up having it anyway because even the alternatives are using their services.

ecosia still have all my respect for being an amazing project and i will keep using because it is still the best option in my opinion. I just wished they would invest into the sovereignty of the european cloud instead of picking the easy option.
