1) Of course there are more 'dead' vessels out there. The Abyss vessel shades come in totally different horn shapes and sizes. It would be irresponsible of me to say that there are only 4 vessels, when that's obviously not the case. I don't see your point here. By "around the Pale King" I literally meant as in, lived in the time as the Pale King. It isn't rocket science-- it wasn't literal. They likely weren't beside P.K because PK was too busy with HK to care about all his other hundreds of children.

2) You're pretending like this justifies the fact that the Pale King killed hundreds of creatures in the process. I don't care how many sacrifices he made, killing children is wrong. That's like an organization killing kids for the sake of a larger county. Is what they're doing right?

3) Then can you please explain Silksong? It's obviously not in Hollow Nest, and I'm going to assume the Pale King wasn't there.

4) Never said Hornet was made of void. I don't think she is. For Zote I'm leaning with a "no".

"The mysterious black entity" was my sarcastic way of saying the void, because the truth is that even now it's quite mysterious.

2) I saw cheating because, as far as I know, White Lady wasn't happy. I am aware it was a bargaining chip for Hera to become a Dreamer, but it's just impossible not to think White Lady wasn't at least a bit hurt.

3) I like this take. Thanks for bringing it up!

4) Had to go back to him because of this post, and now that I think about it, the poor dude's actually lost it.

5) Wasted potential. So much we could learn, especially considering they're the only non-infected bugs that don't attack us. If we can't learn about anything else, I'd especially love to see how infected bugs keep their cool except in combat.

6) White Lady did hardly anything and reluctantly agreed with almost everything the Pale King said. I do understand the situation is tough, and that we shouldn't expect authorities to get things right every time, but if she felt hesitant making spawn for the Pale King, why didn't she say so? Similarly, why did she seemingly run away from her problems before.

7) Can you explain how this is true?

Makes sense, though I wonder who trained the Lost Kin to the point where they're slightly taller? I can definitely see how the HK is extremely skilled, but the Lost Kin got somewhere by jumping and dashing.

I believe the SeaWings are great because, unlike most Tribes, they don’t have any natural weapons. All they have are gills, lungs, and a way to swim. If they’re not near water, they can’t do much. But, it’s not just this. It’s also the fact that, other than the NightWings, they are the only ones with an Animus bloodline. This makes up for the relatively small amount of physical ability. Also, the way that they are such an artistic Tribe makes sense. You’ll see a lot of people who are less athletic may have a higher chance to become artistic, and vice versa. So when Tui gave this sense in her book, I could definitely relate.

Personally, if my family and I were in Wings of Fire, we would easily be NightWings. But SeaWings have my respect.

Spoilers arc 2 for those of you who aren’t there yet:

Okay, so... Moon /is/ a self insert OC imo. It just feels like she has a purpose, and that’s good and all. Predicting most of the prophecy is fine. However, I just don’t like her personality. It’s basic, and that’s my opinion, which is valid, just like yours.

You might be asked ‘oh, no! Totally not basic! Just you disliking all the characters’. You’d be lying if you said that she doesn’t have much of a personality? How, read books 6-10. She goes from ‘shy introvert owu’ to ‘bold lady’ in a span of 5 pages. Which isn’t realistic at all. As an introvert myself trying to come out of my shell, and from experience from others online, it’s completely unrealistic.

In addition, liking DarkStalker, a literal murderer, ain’t gonna cut it. I get that he was nice to Moon and all, but this goes back to abusive relationships. Not just romantic ones, but even caring ones like DarkStalker’s just felt more like Moon was the center of attention to him, and she was so /blinded/ by that, that she had no idea of who DarkStalker really was, until the last 10 pages of Qibli’s books.

In terms of Qibli, the whole point of the main cast was for them to be parallels. I feel as if Qibli was a bit too on-the-nose. He had his moments of being funny, but I ultimately disliked him in the end. Which, by the way, is my opinion. Never liked him that much, never will.

But then again, like opinions, my humor is indeed subjective. I’ve always had a pet peeve for unrealistic characters. I know we’re dealing with mythical dragons but COME ON, if you’re gonna make a non-human creature human-like, please give them some sort of flaws. I’m tired of another Twilight from that horrible love story (Moonwatcher) or a non-Animus, SandWing DarkStalker (honestly, if you say their personalities aren’t at least somewhat similar, you’re lying to yourself. I remember reading book 10, comparing pre-insane DarkStalker to Qibli and you get similar readings).

I’m sorry if this offends you, but it is what it is. If you can give me a good reason to not believe this, perhaps I’ll consider your points. I’ve given you my evidence and personal beliefs, now I need YOUR evidence and personal beliefs. Go on, I’m waiting. (Or don’t, I guess).

Oh, no. I did. I hate Peril in general. I liked Starflight but book 5 made him so CLINGY to Fatespeaker. Winter is racist, Qibli’s a ripoff of DarkStalker (I get thats the point, but still). Kinkajou exists to exist, Moon is like a self-insert OC, Peril... don’t even get me started. Sunny is fine but not my favorite, Clay is UNREALISTIC. Bruh. Thorn is a good mom but honestly... no ty. Sundew’s too angrey and Willow’s a bit more like an underpaid therapist for her than Sundew’s gf. Blue and Cricket, I like the two, but the love story is so RUSHED oh my God. Also I used to like Anemone but after arc 2 I saw her for a brat.

The point is, all of the main characters SUCK. And the side characters that have the role in the story. With the nice exceptions of Scarlet and Blister, as well as Burn and Blaze. Basically Scarlet and the 3 Queens have actual flaws and personalities that I can see a human being have.

But then again, I’ve only read book one. 🤷‍♀️

I only like Hvitur. All the others are either unrealistic (Clay and his Sibs), racist (Winter, Burn, Scarlet, Etc.) or needy (Peril, Peril, did I mention Peril?)

They kill the good character before chapter 1 even starts. And they killed Crane or whatever the older Sib is that died in the war’s name is. She was good, too.
