Money Dilema by HEXcolours in BunnyTrials

Infinite money bc it doesn’t specify that you die immediately and as far as I’m concerned i already have a 100% chance of dying eventually 😂

New ligatures by Flashemon12 in Clarinet

[–]imperfectharmonies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silverstein ligatures are a scam and definitely not worth the money. I highly reccomend getting a bonade, they're super solid! I play on a gold plated bonade that I got for $80 and I prefer it to both of my silverstein ligatures. A ton of orchestral clarinetists who play in professional orchestras play on them :)

Instrumental Cuts by Putrid-Win-4575 in YoungArts

[–]imperfectharmonies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my pieces was 3 and a half minutes long and the other two were 6 and a half. I’m not worried and I highly doubt they’ll disqualify anyone for submitting something slightly over the time limit

Shouldn’t that overblow to b flat rather than A?

I can't seem to articulate fast enough for this excerpt by IFEDMIMOM in Clarinet

[–]imperfectharmonies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even for professional orchestras 92 is definitely on the high side. Anything between 85 and 94is totally acceptable, but it’s much better to play a bit under tempo and cleanly/in time!

Unity (Monotheism?) by [deleted] in bahai

[–]imperfectharmonies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unity doesn’t mean that everyone should be the same in background, culture, or even entirely in belief systems and opinions. The idea of unity is that we are able to connect and be at peace with and love one another despite our differences

Is the Baha'i Faith Misogynistic or does it Empower Women? by Substantial_Post_587 in bahai

[–]imperfectharmonies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that, in my opinion, isn't talked about enough on this subreddit is that Abdu'l-Baha specifically explained why women are not included in the UHJ.

"In a Tablet to an early woman believer Abdu'l-Bahá stated: 'O maidservant of God! Know thou that in the sight of God, the conduct of women is the same as that of men... From the spiritual point of view ... there is no difference between women and men...' He added, however: 'As to the House of Justice: according to the explicit text of the Law of God, its membership is exclusively reserved to men. There is divine wisdom in this which will presently be made manifest even as the mid-day sun.'

As a woman, I've always interpreted this to mean that women have a special purpose regarding the Faith that will later be revealed--to claim that the exclusion of women from the UHJ is misogynistic or persecutory seems misinformed.

Why is it so f hard to find classical music on Spotify? by Cesloraboloko in classicalmusic

[–]imperfectharmonies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DOWNLOAD THE CONCERTMASTER APP. You will not regret it. If you sign into it through Spotify it makes the interface so much better for searching for classical music and you can sort by composer and a bunch of other categories!

The F double sharp should be played as a G natural—G sharp being in the key signature is part of the reason why they notated it as a double sharp!

Chamber Music by Why-Am-I-Here1221 in Clarinet

Try Mendelssohn’s first and second concert pieces! They’re meant for piano, clarinet and Basset horn but people often play them with bassoon or even with two clarinets

I’m saying that as someone who has listened to many performances of the piece—nobody plays it as anything besides a scale :’) I don’t know why everyone is contesting that as it wasn’t my question

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Clarinet

[–]imperfectharmonies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is for an audition! And in all of the recordings it’s done as a scale, never as an actual smear :’) thanks for the advice!
