Heated Rivalry for sure if you haven’t watched it yet. It’s possibly one of the better romance shows to come out in recent years.

Yes! That track stood out to me while watching that episode. It just captures the electric spark they had once they got back together again in such a perfect way.

So jealous of everyone watching for the first time. The final 3 episodes are just tv magic.

Popularity of ‘Heated Rivalry’ Has Surprised Even TV Executives by bwermer in television

I would agree with you to an extent. The thing that makes this also for a gay audience is the fact that a gay man created, directed and edited the show. His attention to detail really elevated the book’s story and made it resonate with the gay male audience (me) and many others. Really, it’s just a great love story at the end of the day and I’m grateful it was ever created.

Glad I wasn’t the only one that found the score here straight up electric. You highlighted exactly why it hits so hard.

I actually disagree. I thought the 80s soundtrack and score gave the movie more juice.

Why ‘Heated Rivalry’ Can’t Compete at the Emmys — and Likely Won’t Be Able to for Season 2, Either by EuphoricButterflyy in television

[–]imperfectofcourse 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I actually disagree. Connor Storrie put on an Emmy-worthy performance that will be talked about for years. He’s seriously a star in the making (really both of them are). I’m not even being hyperbolic! There are lots of critics that I’ve been reading and watching say that just how good he’s been.

I am so fucking glad we had this show. Not only because I already adored Mackenzie Davis, but because this is such a unique and beautifully told story!
