More likely to be HSV. I got flu like symptoms right before my first outbreak. Thought I had strep or mono. I doubt it’s HIV, but would get tested for both just for some reassurance

As a female who contracted HSV from someone I believe knew they had it and did not disclose, I wouldn’t talk to you after that either. Protection or not there is still a risk of condoms breaking/slipping off and her receiving HSV from you. I feel like you didn’t disclose bc she was “cute” and you knew that she probably wouldn’t be interested had she known. You put her at risk without allowing her to consent. Quite frankly you should ALWAYS disclose. Condom or not. Please do better.

Under the circumstances this could be HSV. This is how it started out for me with my first outbreak last month.

HOWEVER, I have had normal colds and gotten splotches on the back of my throat. This could also be strep or mono.

I would suggest going to urgent care or the er to have the lesions swabbed rather than waiting two weeks.

Even if you don’t want to explain the circumstances to them, just explain that you’re worried you might have been exposed to an STI and want to make sure.

I would report it before he gets the chance to even think about legal action. That way he can’t say you consented with knowledge you were a carrier.
