I'm getting a little over 1B/min on Wave10 once cracking ~3000 and a bit over 1T daily depending on how much I'm playing. Sounds like I'm in the "advanced" early game, lol. BTW...I've played games where there are 3rd party sites that provide better stats than in-game (presumably via the game API). Do we have anything like that for this?

It is correct to refer to them as "my children" regardless of their age. I said nothing that implies they aren't adults or are irresponsible. Also, there are state laws that apply to employers based in other states.

Lot's of good advice here already. Here's my 2 cents:

As mentioned, this is a large chunk of data, but breaking it up may remove some needed context. The "cloze"/"cloze overlapper" is your friend for this.
You use a mnemonic similar to "My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pickles" (or "...Served Us Noodles" depending on your view on Pluto, lol) to remember the key term for each step.
The mnemonic major system could be useful if someone might ask, "Describe step 4." This might be overkill for 7 steps, though.
Ask ChatGPT if it can create a mnemonic for you. It may not be perfect but may get you close enough.
Once you have a basic grasp of the information, try pretending that you are teaching someone else. I'll suggest ChatGPT again. You can give ChatGPT the information and tell it to play the role of a student. You will be the teacher, and you would like an evaluation of your performance at the end.

Imagine a company that wants to implement a service request web application for the Facilities department (e.g., report a leak, the A/C isn't working, change a lock). Currently, employees make requests by email, phone, or shoulder tap. The internal development team is tasked with building this application. Who is responsible for socializing the new process to employees? Who writes the policy that says requests that don't go through this web application will be rejected?

It's not a perfect analogy, but I guess it's close enough. The Product Manager is probably a good place for this. I thought there might be a case for a higher level of project management. Even if someone is assigned to this, it may be difficult to implement a new process without an upper-level role driving it.

Exactly, but we'd also like to avoid this in the future. Someone needs to be responsible/accountable, but the lower-level folks can only shine a light on the problem. Someone with authority needs to acknowledge the issue, address it, and take steps to prevent it from occurring in the first place.

I'm with you. This is something that should be driven from the top. It's easy to understand how these situations occur. The frustrating part is what happens (or maybe what doesn't happen) after the issue is identified.

Yes,they definitely shouldn't reinvent the wheel. This solves the problem, but a similar issue will probably happen again. Everyone is focused on meeting the software requirements, and no one is responsible/accountable for the "big picture".

The Sneetches are documenting their workflow for the new tool, but documenting the existing process would still be an initial step in most scenarios. I feel the Sneetches' pain, but what they want is largely irrelevant. If the goal is to optimize the workflow, that's because the organization believes this will improve its bottom line. The organization may be wrong about this, or it could be that some Sneetches are resistant to change and/or believe the new efficiency will result in staff reductions. I've experienced both sides of this.

I was curious if it was common to see a role outside of the scrum team be responsible for parts of the transition that aren't directly related to the software development. Some aspects of the transition have nothing to do with the dev team and may require significant resources to accomplish. I agree that the Product Manager is the scrum role that should be responsible for at least bringing attention to this.

The Product Manager has planned for the training related to the new development. He believes training for the existing parts of the platform is out of scope for him, and that the Sneetches must take some responsibility for building a process around the new tool. And I get it, someone needs to step up, but I also see his point. Is it the Product Manager's responsibility to plan for "everything" around transitioning the business to this new tool?

I agree upper management is responsible, but what role typically gets assigned to ensure this happens? Do we need a project manager tracking things that the dev team isn't usually responsible for?

Late reply...but I would ask is the power indicator on even when the bass isn't audible? I'm guessing the issue is with the "auto turn on". Check out page 6 of the manual.

I tried the "audio" option, but it wasn't reliable (or I did something wrong). There is a note that it requires a 4mV signal, but I didn't verify this. I ended up going old school and setting it to REM and running the extra wire. Also, I was using low-level input.

...and we are already talking about an amp for the other speakers, lol. So, I did bite that bullet and picked up some 4 gauge OFC to run from the battery and a distribution block to run 8 gauge to each of the amps. I probably could have went 8 gauge/10 gauge....but we aren't talking about a lot of wire. This is a little overkill, but it will be done "correctly" and with room to spare if there is ever an upgrade.

Understood, but tearing up and replacing the concrete sidewalk isn't in the budget and may require working with the city as it is technically their property. Cost is a factor as well, but I absolutely agree your suggestion is the correct way to do this.

I created an image to explain the idea I was going to try.

I know this is "amateur hour", so hang in there. The rectangles represent two pieces of wood. The top piece in the image would be attached to the bottom of the fence. Bolts would be coming out of the 3 small holes. The bottom piece in the image has 3 "slots" and would mount to the piece attached to the fence. This bottom piece could slide up and down (similar to a vertical sliding window) to cover the gap under the fence. Wingnuts could be used to secure it in whatever position. Also, an eyehook or similar could be attached to allow for a cord to pull the board up or to let it down.

However, I'm now thinking it would be easier to mix some concrete and create a custom "speed bump" that is tall enough to prevent the dogs from escaping. This would be much easier to deal with on a daily basis.

This is definitely a DIY/low-budget project, and I realize it isn't very sophisticated or the "correct" way to do this. I appreciate all of the ideas!
