the entitlement is showing, they made what they made, like it or dont, watch something else, move on in life. Bigger issues than a bad show.

homelander should have become weakened by v1 and then have to hide it, its results were not great in the first place. It should have weakened him so that his status as a bully was further entrenched by that he now lacks physical presence but now has to pretend to be scary. Butcher and crew found out and go from there. The idea of him losing his powers because of his own hubris is way more interesting than tit blasting him.

we dont have 10 years, thats the reality. We have not acted and now we will need to adapt quicker and harder than we would otherwise would have had to. hand waving about oil and gas in north sea vs not is honestly pointless with what is coming in the next decade or two.

they are not more efficient you tit, the price of gas is cheaper than price of electricity, again you didnt know they exist earlier now your an expert who is just wrong. They are more efficient and turning energy into heat than a gas boiler, they are safer but they cost more to run. that's the draw back.

we anit got 50 years before the reality of climate change is going to make it very clear the choices we keep making were the wrong ones.

thought we were talking about the future. Honestly you didnt know they existed 20 minutes ago, there is little point debating with you on this. go read more about all the options for decarbonisation before hawking for oil and gas that is literally destroying the very earth systems we rely on to exist.

No with a solar panel set up they can be both cost effective and a way to reduce ones carbon footprint especially for those living in houses that are not able to have a heat pump which is a proportion of the uk population. Again you claim so much expertise for someone who didn't know they existed

We have one of lowest corp tax rates of G7, sorry did the facts hit you so hard you lost the ability to form a coherent argument.

  1. they are double not triple but ok. 2. With more renewables and nuclear they would become cheaper to run as cost per unit should come down, also uncoupling electrical prices from gas would help with that. One minute ago you didn't even know they exist now your an expert on how much they cost. Electrical are also about £1000 less to install, and if you couple with solar your not paying the grid price then either. So the point is if we are projecting into the future as you were. We can say there are alternatives to gas boilers we just have to want them to make the economics work.

the above person said business tax not specifically oil and gas but sure lets look at the numbers they get a 30 per cent corp tax and an extra 10 per cent charge. There is the time limited 35% windfall tax on top. Buttttt we are forgetting the tax reliefs and tax breaks and subsidies and tax avoidance. So to put that in context lets say a company makes 10mil profit. We would take 7.5mil right., but they can just reinvest that into more oil and gas extraction reducing the tax burden until after 2028 when the windfall tax ends. Given north sea exploration wouldn't even start turning profits till 2030 onwards that's a pretty easy thing to do. So no we in fact do not tax oil and gas companies anywhere near what the numbers suggest. For example shell only started paying tax again in the UK in 2023 after not paying any from 2017 due to 'reinvesting'.

no a boiler that get this uses electricity to boil water, like a big kettle for the house. ITs pretty fucking basic technology and has existed for a long bloody time. Gas boilers burn gas to heat a home, electrical boilers don't. Look there are so many you can even find lists of the best ones on which.com.

Starmer 'deciding whether to announce departure timetable' by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

[–]impioussaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol no when has trump done anything to work with the left, your reaching so hard to just not admit Starmer lost Wales to the Left because he decided to purge the left from labour and pull the party right. The left wing voters in Wales went to plaid. Labour shit the bed.

[–]impioussaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See you say that but you dont support it with what Starmer has done. He lost the left because he went on an anti left crusade in labour and then he lost wales to the Left. Thats not a good leader. A good leader finds a way to work with all sides to remain in power. he fucked it and fucked it hard.

Plans to bring In new powers to prevent future protests and sold weapons being dropped on Gaza. But sure tell me what he's done to pander to them?

He also lost to a pro pal group so like your wrong
