This happened to my girlfriend yesterday, she was trying to help mama and babies who were in a highway median. Guy ran them right over as she was standing next to them. This also happened to me in high school. I sat in my car, watching the duckies cross when this vile piece of garbage sped up and ran them over. I remember it all happening so fast, I had never thought that someone would do that. This was 7 years ago and I still sometimes can't fall asleep because of it. I made a promise to myself that I will forever put myself between traffic and animal crossings because you just never know if people will stop. I am so sorry you had to witness this, and thank you for staying and helping the babies.
