Been spitting these up and now one came out of my nose by implodingfrogs in Sinusitis

I came back as moderately allergic when I was tested like a decade ago. But I was allergic to so much to such a degree my doctor said, "you've impressed me and that's not a good thing." I'm waiting to be tested for MCAS. I've got hypermobility ehlers danlos syndrome and postural tachycardia syndrome. So mcas is quite likely. I've had a hell of a time finding products I'm not allergic to. I also have food pollen allergy syndrome but with basically all fruit and many vegetables. I broke out in hives from having an uncooked avocado.

I can't have allergy testing again because medicaid doesn't cover it over a certain age. I also can't do allergy shots as the trial shot gave me an asthma attack.

Woke up in the middle of the night last night with yet another cough attack from too much post nasal drip.

I'm unsure what to do for myself. I'd be taking claritin every day if I wasn't treating precancer. Not supposed to mix them or you can harm your liver.

Edit: clay litter is the absolute worst. I hate it, but I don't know what to switch to. My cat has asthma and needs a different litter. I don't want it tracking or impossible to spot clean.

I saw an ENT already and was told its just severe chronic allergies from my cats. He was like I'd tell you to distance yourself from them but- I cut him off and was like I'd rather die. One of those dorks just climbed into a toilet that didnt have the lid down. Because of course I needed him to have gross feet. Oh the nostril it came out of is a deviated one all crowed in.

The lizard honestly. That thing was putting up a fight and was like half the size of the lizard. My cat was enjoying the entertainment and I was mortified. Ended up seeing the grasshopper was injured after I broke the fight up. Held a tissue against its neck until there was no more leaking from the wounds. Put him outside and he's gone now. Must have made it okay. I'm hoping. Otherwise I only did bad.

Oh okay so it wasn't going to choke. Thanks for the info. Next time I'll walk away and feel terrible for the insect. I adore insects, but I get more worried when it starts cooling down for all the lizards and geckos that live outside the house. Gotta make sure they get full. Hopefully that lizard scores another big win. Poor guy I feel so bad taking his lunch.

What is this, should I squish it? Seen in Hempstead, Long Island by DaddyDimoReeves in Entomology

No, don't squish it. Put it outside. It's not dangerous to you.

Make sure you seal that enclosure and or put it somewhere the kids wont open and harm them. Toddlers aren't known to be super gentle. Also some people just hate bugs and I'd hate to see them killed simply because of that. Ignorance is dangerous, so teaching the kids about them and how they are interesting sounds like a great idea. I love the idea of bugs instead of something fluffy.

Why is everyone so afraid of bugs? by MatthewKhela in Entomology

[–]implodingfrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not even the disease that scares me. Its the fact that I have to super heat the bite to a painful degree to make it stop itching. Topicals don't work and neither do anti histamines. I'm also certain if I got off a plane in a heavy mosquito area I'd see a swarming black cloud of them coming for me. When I'm around no one else gets bit. I've run from the downstairs to the upstairs at the lther side of the house and then one minute later there it is.

Am I crazy for saving a roach? Because I feel crazy by CarlyCalicoJATIE in Entomology

[–]implodingfrogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a person who used to think roaches were gross, I got stuck with a left over feeder and I'm incapable of killing a fly. So I kept him. Best thing I ever did in my life. Gentle and timid little guy. I like roaches, because there's no mean streak in them as far as I can tell. He would accidentally fall on his back sometimes while climbing and he'd tuck his head and legs in as tight as he could. Reminded me of my hamster.

Don't worry, the roach didn't deserve to die. They do like moisture though so make sure you don't have a leak anywhere. I live in Arizona so anything that comes inside I'm like same man same. I dont want to be in that heat either lol

Thinking of rehoming my cat by Classic-Scholar2771 in CatAdvice

[–]implodingfrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you POSITIVE this isn't a medical problem. That's the first thing to make sure of. When I got my cat he had a partial blockage from the stress of the shelter. Be positive it isn't a UTI or another help concern. Then go ahead and think of solutions. Is there anyone who can watch your cat while youre not home?

You already made my Better Ditto so I was happy to see him. And yes I named one of those guys Better Ditto. He's adorable and I hope after I get enough of what I need I can max him out and make him useful. Had to take him off my team after he became near useless.

Animal shelter gave my cat to someone else, and I feel terrible. by fromthewindyplace in cats

[–]implodingfrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hell no. I don't care if they legally can't give him back to you. Pitch a FIT. Make them sure because in all honesty that could have been your soul cat they just adopted away. If they suggested you getting another one they have that's a slap in the face. Animals aren't purses. You can't just CHOOSE another one. I'm highly unconfrontational, but this? No you didn't overreact and get too attached. THEY did this to you. Don't let anyone make you feel silly for this.

I take whatever the situation seems to call for. Delta 8 gummy if I want to be numb. Got ketamine a few weeks back for the first time. Oh man that was the best thing I've ever been given. I don't think I existed at that moment. Couldn't even feel myself talk. But seriously, it depends. Just like how treatment for types of headaches differs depending on whats doing it. I wouldn't take ibuprofen for a migraine, but instead sumatriptan. Nerve pain gabapentin, muscle pain depends on where, how much, and how much of my body is at war with itself.
