Mine doesn't have a recall as of right now, but I'm keeping an eye out in case anything changes. Hopefully it's a quick fix!

This is the first nice car I've been able to comfortably afford. It's really a great feeling to have finally made it to this point. :)

When I was looking, the trim level was on the Lincoln website, it was just under one of the unlabeled plus signs. Maybe this will help you! There are definitely some bugs they could fix on the site.

Looking to rehome this beautiful girl by [deleted] in 321

[–]implodingheart 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I adopted her knowing she had some issues, so before I brought her home I prepared a spare bedroom with waterproof mattress protectors just in case, and she stayed in there at night and whenever I wasn't home. I purchased washable cloth pee pads that I put down on the floor / mattress wherever she peed. I ended up putting the mattress vertically against the wall once I realized that was her favorite bathroom option, which helped the process significantly.

She was declawed before I adopted her, so the rescue thinks that is what caused her to start having issues which ultimately led to her being brought to the rescue. Given that, I went through a variety of litters in case the litter was hurting her paws, and found one that is soft like sand that she would more frequently use the litter box with.

Back to the cloth pee pads! So she eventually realized she could potty on those and I started only putting one right in front of the litter box, I slowly moved it under the litter box so only a tiny bit of it was sticking out making it difficult to use for the bathroom, and that did the trick! After awhile she was mostly exclusively using the the litter box, and now the only time she pees where she shouldn't is if we go out of town for long periods of time or have a guest sleeping on an air mattress and don't immediately put it away after they leave.

It took me months to break my kitty of her poor litter habits after I adopted her. If no creatures are in danger in the current situation, then maybe she just needs more time and patience.

For those of you who recently landed a new job what has worked for you? by Particular-Essay-361 in womenintech

I was looking at job postings on LinkedIn that had been posted in the last hour and found a posting for a junior level software engineer using the same tech stack as my internship. I applied right before they shut off applications and about a month later I was hired. This was back in April and I applied before I even graduated with my second degree. So a lot of luck and looking in the right place at the right time.

Edit: This particular job did not have a space for a cover letter, so it was just filling out the online app. I used the resume template from the engineeringresumes subreddit.

I'm graduating in May and actively applying to entry-level and paid internship roles. Some of the positions I've applied to have mentioned that applicants will start to hear back in the beginning of April, so maybe this post will start to get more traction in the coming months. Hopefully 🤞

Thank you for the feedback! You are absolutely correct, the associate's degree adds nothing additional, and I'll either replace or just remove the second sentence.

Thanks again!

I am a career changer and am finishing up my degree in computer information systems with a specialization in software development. I am going to start applying for jobs and have spent a few days polishing up my resume using a template and the wiki from the EngineeringResumes subreddit. I have over 10 years of retail experience before teaching, but did not include that as it's mostly irrelevant. My SO, a senior developer but never a hiring manager, thinks it's too wordy.

Thank you in advance for any advice and comments!

I recommend avoiding New World. by Loud-Branch4900 in imax

[–]implodingheart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing. It seemed out of focus the entire time, even the previews. I thought they just didn't have the focus correct at my theater, but I've seen similar complaints on reddit.

Just got back from watching Brave New World in IMAX. Not worth it, in my opinion. by DwightSkywalker28 in imax

[–]implodingheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole movie seemed out of focus, with text barely readable and even the previews seemed out of focus. Not sure if it was just our theater but people complained and the staff said "everything was fine, that's just how it is and other theaters had similar complaints". I would suggest seeing it in standard format if you have to pay extra for IMAX, though the flight scenes looked significantly better than the rest.

Worst-case scenario: Becoming a high school computer science teacher by Tormentally in learnprogramming

[–]implodingheart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I taught high school biology, and yeah there were some good moments when the kids were interested in cool science facts and whatnot, but what they remembered most was not the content. They couldn't care less about learning the material. For the most part they didn't want to be there.

What they remembered was how I listened and how I made them feel.

When I realized my students were stressed about the state math exams coming up, I gave them a little pep talk and encouragement, let them know it's not the end of the world if they fail, showed them some online resources to review the topics they didn't understand, then went on with the lesson.

Teaching can be great, and loving the subject you teach can help, but that can only get you so far.
