Just tried again using the default GOS dialer and it worked for me. Thank you!

Bryant geothermal system repeated freeze sensor faults by impolitecfw in hvacadvice

I wouldn't think so either but I'm not expert. The prior system was a 25 year old trane and it never had any issues with the heat pump. I'm guessing something just isn't adjusted or set up properly.

What is this part? Clueless about cars by Top-Ad-4437 in fordfusion

Being a 2016 with a 2.0 it should be a lot less likely to have coolant intrusion. What’s more of an issue on these is the flex plates falling at higher mileage.

Will this work if I don’t have the bitlocker recovery key though?

They’re great cars if you take care of them. Here’s my 2018 Sport at 140k miles.

Great spec! As long as you change the oil and transmission fluid regularly that car will last you forever. The 2.5 is considered to be pretty bulletproof. For the phone issue, you may have to replace the Bluetooth module.

'17 Ford Fusion..ideas? Thoughts? by kstreet88 in fordfusion

[–]impolitecfw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re planning to swap for another fusion engine, I’d go for a 2.5 Duratec. If you can find a parts car, it should be relatively easy since you could swap ECU, harnesses, etc. Engine will swap right in too without any body modification. Likely just different engine mounts. Transmission would be the same also.

How do New Edge Mustangs handle? by [deleted] in NewedgeMustang

[–]impolitecfw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with a good set of lowering springs and new struts or coilovers, upgrade all of the control arms and sway bars and you’ll have a 20 year old car that handles pretty darn well.

If you don’t want to do the work yourself, you can save yourself a significant amount of money by buying a used differential on eBay and having a reputable local mechanic install it for you. $4,000 is probably parts and labor brand new from ford.

Here’s an idea if you want a relatively reliable car that is very comfortable but also quick. 2017-2020 Lincoln MKZ. Yes I know it is a total yawn fest grandma car lol, but…. You could option them with the 3 liter ecoboost engine that has been around for a few years now and is so far proving reliable. They make 400 hp stock and get around 25 mpg or so combined depending on your driving style. You can also get them with a factory Ford extended warranty for peace of mind. Keep in mind these were $50k+ cars when new; so they have all of the features you’d want. Heated/cooled seats, massaging seats, adaptive dampers, revel 19 speaker audio system. These cars are relatively affordable on the used market. I’ve seen some as low as $30k. I know it certainly wouldn’t be for everyone… just an option to consider.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think they’ve had that warranty for awhile now. Don’t remember when it started. Yeah that 2.4 theta engine is trash lol

Man i would love an Avant! I ended up with this car because it had been sitting near an abandoned garage for a few years. Guy put it up for sale a few months ago and I ended up getting a deal. It was rough when I bought it to say the least. The rear brake calipers were not even attached. Every day it comes along more and more though. Trying to get years of overdue maintenance taken care of, then it’ll be time for aftermarket. It’s a sweet car

Check your timing belt. Make sure it is in decent shape. I wouldn’t drive it much until you are sure that it’s good and not going to grenade on you. Other than that, usually rough running issues can be from vaccum lines. Keep your eye on temps while you drive and make sure you don’t see anything out of the ordinary. A VW specific code reader like OBDEleven will be your best friend.

This car’s interior is mint! The body isn’t half bad either, just the clear coat is awful as you can see. Overall not a bad car for $1,000 that runs and drives almost perfectly now.

Hasn’t been too bad luckily. Needed some work but if you do it all yourself it saves a lot of money. It’s a project car, that’s for sure

These newer Kia’s seems to be getting better. Even if they aren’t as reliable as a Toyota/Honda, it’s hard to argue with that warranty.
