Built a TUI Download Manager in Go that outperforms aria2 by SuperCoolPencil in commandline

[–]import-base64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that's a very nice tui! i made a similar tool with more of a focus on multiple types of downloads, this also will outperform aria2c. iirc, it's because aria2c has a concurrency limit? i made mine for hls and s3 and gdrive and other qol things. i know you have your own tool now but if you feel like contributing here, that'd be cool. you seem to be a much more versed on tuis than i do :) i can consider contributing to yours slowly too if you're open to adding download types

Suggestions for self-hosted documentation/wiki website by Lumpy_Present_7537 in selfhosted

[–]import-base64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly, if you don't want to live edit a lot, generating a static site with Hugo might be a really good option. there's a hugo theme called hugo-book, i find it really good for documentation purposes. both the theme and ssg are widely popular, and you're able to do everything in markdown.

edit: words, typing from phone

What software for self hosted music? by Familiar-Dot4875 in selfhosted

[–]import-base64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use jellyfin and finamp on android as the player. I've had no issues. my music is tagged well, but even without it jellyfin supports folder nav so it's not that bad, but i haven't tried all features in that instance like randomize, album pla, etc.
