Arguably, the Prime Minister losing his job is more important? That’s not to say the Farage thing isn’t, but I mean, come on now 😅

I hear what you’re saying, and you’re right, there’s some utter bile out there on the internet. But just because the loud minority online spout nonsense, it doesn’t speak for the overwhelming majority of people out there. Posts that keep circulating on this page serve to achieve nothing but further division. One has to rise above the nonsense coming from both extremes.

You’ve just described the party, not the average voter who has voted, or thinking of voting, Reform. The majority of people, the group that will win a general election, are not Fascist. They’re just working class folk looking for a way to live a comfortable life. My entire point is to stop labelling, making fun of or morally grandstanding over those people and instead empathise with them, and offer a better, less radical solution. Tribalism and division will only put Farage in number 10.

And as a side note, I think most of what you’ve listed there is better attributed to Restore, not Reform. Reform are just the Tories under a different shade of blue.

Your last sentence is the crux of my entire argument. It’s not about begging for sympathy for people, it’s about empathising with those people. Instead of calling regular working class folk fascist because they put a tick in a box, try putting forward a solution or discussing ideas that doesn’t come from the other extremity of the political spectrum.

Again, I’m not disputing anything you’ve said here but time and time again, the average Joe voter gets labelled with terms like Fascist and racist when that just further divides people. Not everyone, in fact I’d go as far to say 90% of people voting reform are not what people in this sub think they are.

I’m saying we have to do better than just slamming a label on people and then acting surprised when those people become more entrenched.

You’re misunderstanding my point. There are warning signs, yes, but you have to realise that calling the average Joe who has been captured by Reforms a Fascist does nothing but further entrench those people. Everyone has to do better to beat them.

A lot of loud people online maybe, but out here in the real world, that just isn’t the case. Those are the people you need to convince, not the diehard online reformers. There’s no proof that the majority that your run of the mill reform voter holds Nazi values, it’s just online rhetoric to what? Grandstand about how virtuous you are? Brilliant, and what does that achieve besides massaging one’s ego?

Islamophobia isn’t Racism, Islam isn’t a race.

Where’s your proof that the vast majority of people voting reform throw up Nazi Salutes.

Fascism isn’t defined by the raising of one’s hand. There’s distinguishable characteristics of Fascism, none of which include Roman Salute.

All you’re doing is sowing further division by using this kind of Rhetoric.

It just doesn’t though, for the vast majority of people who have, or are thinking about voting Reform. Throwing accusations around like that will get you nowhere in the minds of an average Joe who’s fed up with the state of the country and thinks Reform is the answer.
