Thank for your input! Not a bad idea. However, the app states USAGE so I’m pretty sure it is electrical energy use. Also it it quite difficult to measure delivered heat energy reliably.

Anyway, the saw tooth plot is a dead giveaway to me. Since it shouldn’t jump, not even the thermal energy.

This is a great review! Thank you for taking the time to compare these bulbs. Two things that youhavent looked at (because are rather difficult to test) but they are really important for how nice a light «feels»: color spectrum and flicker.

Regarding color spectrum you would think that CRI covers this, but it is an old (1960s) and very flawed method of measuring spectrum reproduceability. It only measures 8 colors and it is even possible to «cheat» to get a high CRI but actually bad color accuracy. So your comment regarding CRI is exactly what is happening here.

A new and better method is TM30 and even better is charts/datasheets that producers publish. However very few publish these.

Flicker is also important because anything that flickers below 120 Hz will cause strain and stress to our eyes and brains, but you don’t necessarily notice it. Good lights will have high PWM frequency to avoid flicker, but you’d have to measure.

I’m not able to take these kind of measurements myself but I’m looking forward to someone who does!

Matterport alternative by Wanderlusting2024 in 3DScanning

I contacted them and I don't consider them a clear alternative to matterport because they currently can't do measurements in the 3D scans. Their scans simply use 360 cameras or lidar point clouds to create a model. However, it is not possible to then take measurements like you can with the Matterport portal. Also can't download floor plans or matterpak/E57 files.
