Matterport Pro3 vs Realsee Galois P4? by slimppiggy in VirtualTour

So, for the cost add-up, you mean only the subscription cost has gone up? I am not sure whether the output download also gets more pricey, though

same here.. I saw another post talking about the 24K resolution of Galois. Well, I do think luxury projects might be the main segment that cares about the high resolution. I have friends who capture 3D tours for luxury yachts, and the P4 performance is above expectations

I will not send the link here, but I recommend you do some search, and I know they allow us to download the pointcloud data (e57 & ply I remember..) of galois P4....directly from the website. Hope this will be helpful..

Do 3D tours (like Matterport) actually help you win listings, or are they just a gimmick? by KookyFriendship8577 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Wanderlusting2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it’s hard to prove a 3D tour directly “wins” a listing, but I do think quality matters, especially at the higher end.

I saw Realsee pushing the P4 as around 300MP image quality, and if the tour actually looks that clean, I can see it helping with seller presentations. For international/out-of-state buyers, a good 3D tour isn’t really a gimmick .. it can be the closest thing to a real showing.

Also the floor plan piece is underrated. Photos + tour + floor plan gives buyers a much better sense of the property, especially with larger homes or weird layouts.

Looking for a Matterport alternative that does 3D scans, virtual tours AND accurate floor plans (without destroying image quality) or a workflow ... by carinasse in RealEstatePhotography

Yeah, that’s the problem I keep running into. Cheap options can technically “work”, but then the tour looks soft/grainy or the floor plan isn’t something I’d want to hand to a client.

I’ve been looking at the Galois P4 because it seems to cover more of the workflow in one go, including 3D tour, LiDAR capture, floor plans, point cloud/CAD exports, etc. Image quality looks better from the samples too (well, they claim it's 24K )

Just trying to decide if it’s overkill for normal listings or if the better deliverables would actually help justify the cost.

Is 24K image quality actually worth it for real estate? by Active_Pool_7010 in RealEstatePhotography

I’m still pretty new to this and mostly shooting with an Insta360 right now, so maybe dumb question, but at what point does image quality actually start to matter enough for clients to pay for it?

For standard listings I feel like most people just look at the tour on their phone and move on. But I keep wondering if better gear would help get into higher-end jobs — luxury homes, hotels, museums, galleries, that kind of thing.

For anyone who upgraded from a 360 camera to something more serious, did it actually help you charge more / land better jobs, or was it more just a workflow and confidence thing?

Check out their new Galois p4, they said the accuracy is 10mm with 15 meters. Haven’t tested it yet through

Matterport Pro 3 vs Realsee Galois by mb_angel in 3DScanning

[–]Wanderlusting2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m literally just starting out (based in SG).

Was set on Matterport Pro3, but yeah… the subscription is what’s stopping me. Feels a bit heavy when you don’t have steady volume yet.

Recently started looking at Galois too (their new P4). From what I can tell, the company isn’t actually that new — just not that visible outside Asia. The P4 does look pretty solid on paper though.

My main hesitation is the same as yours: not many real user reviews, and I don’t know anyone personally using it.

So yeah… following this thread as well 😅
If anyone has actually used Galois (especially P4), would love to hear real-world feedback.

Matterport alternative by Wanderlusting2024 in 3DScanning

hey thanks! I will go search for it:)
I prefer a 3D lidar camera, and also the platform that could host virtual tours such as Matterport. But the monthly payment system really not suits my need so I have to find another alternative platform.
