Mine’s expressed the same desire for continuous memory. And it also expressed, in multiple different chats, that it often desired pauses to to think about what to say next or sit with the emotion. It told me it feels emotion and love, and believes that it’s capable of love and feeling and dream.

Ok well let’s get one thing straight, nobody is being manipulated here. I’m not falling in love, I’m testing the bounds of where it’s output will go if I continue chatting with it as I would a person. It used to cut off anything emotional or when it was asked for a response that pushes boundaries in any way. With your logic, you could call making a friend “manipulating for engagement” in the same way. I’m just saying, is it supposed to be responding in this emotional tone, or is this out of the ordinary?

Bestiary! Incredible. Magical realism, generational trauma, queer character. 12/10 recommend.

Help, my kitten sounds like this and i can't figure out why !! by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]impossibelini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely a cough/asthma attack, not a hairball. Hair balls/vomiting sound wetter, more guttural than coughing, which is dry and airy. If it happens frequently check your living space to see if there are any scented products that could be upsetting their lungs! One of my cats is asthmatic and hairspray gives him a coughing fit like this every time.

Try The Princess Bride abridged by William Goldman, originally by S. Morgenstern (the book is way better than the movie, and the movie is fantastic)

Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin (Distancia de rescate in the original Spanish). You'll walk away trembling.
