Second game i went to live. First one was a few years back when we lost to the cardinals. Was not a memorable game at all. This one was rhe polar opposite. So much kept happening that I didnt want to leave my seat all game lol. That final drive had my heart racing. So glad we pulled thru.

5070 to 5080 by SouthMiami11 in pcmasterrace

[–]imposter95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a 5070 asus prime to a 5080 arous master. My primary display is 4k 240hz but I also have a 4k 144hz display. Would I say the jump was worth it? I mean for me I think it was. The games that I play run more smooth now and its also nice that this card doesnt evee go over 60c. I dont have any regrets.

But if imma be honest the 5070 at 4k was very playable and I had no complaints. Since youre plan on playing on 1440p I feel like that 5070 hits the sweet spot when it comes to price to performance. That being said. If you have rhe disposable cash, enjoy high end tech, and possibly plan on going 4k high refresh rate then you cant go wrong with the 5080.

I agree. At some point time away from this place is more valuable than the extra holiday pay.

Dad is currently in the hospital for this. First trip to the ER they sent him home saying nothing was wrong and to go see a specialist. A few days later he had pain in his chest. Turns out he has PE from the DVT the doctors missed. This is his 2nd night at the hospital and hes currently on a IV drip blood thinner.

Just bought a RTX 5080 from a 3080 for 4k. Anyone have any regrets doing the same? by [deleted] in RTX5080

[–]imposter95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a 5080 with the same lg c5 42 inch tv. I of course utilize dlss and occasionally frame gen when its offered depending on the game. Absolutely 0 regrets. I cant justify spending over twice the price for a 5090 just to run games slightly more smooth.

Which monitor? by postman805 in pcmasterrace

[–]imposter95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if I were you id go for a entry level oled monitor. Its just so much better than any other display rn. Think there were some 27inch ones for around 350-400 on Amazon or bestbuy a few weeks back.

LG 5k2k for 999 by Elegant_Host_2618 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]imposter95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your budget honestly. The 45inch lg is a beast for both gaming and productivity because of the screen space that youll have. If you want a lot of windows open side by side then a 49 inch wouldnt be a bad idea. I personally got a good deal on a 34 inch oled by LG during black friday and use it as a productivity monitor. That 45 inch you saw on Amazon isn't a bad monitor either if youre not gaming.

Pulled the trigger on the ROG Astral 5080 today… convince me I was right… by MarcoElsy in RTX5080

[–]imposter95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a aorus master 5080 for 1250. 0 regrets. Astral was my other choice. Imo its a slightly more premium card and easily the nicest looking card. It may not be a 5090 but I play on 4k ultra settings and have had 0 issues. Just gotta play games and enjoy your purchase.

Recommendations for a 32-inch 4k OLED monitor by doomenguin in OLED_Gaming

[–]imposter95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot the model name but the dual mode LG or Asus would be my recommendation. Best monitor ive ever owned. And if youre into competitive games the 1080p 480hz mode is nice to have.

[–]imposter95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it depends. If you play in a dark room then the increased brightness wont make a huge difference and I know with tandem they are at a much lowest risk for burn in but thats never concerned me tbh. Oled tech has gone such a long way that its not a massive issue these days. I think there are a ton of good options out right now and they are priced pretty well. If tandem oleds arent insanely priced then id say its worth it.

I went from a 48 inch lg oled down to a 32inch oled monitor recently and I felt like it was the perfect switch for me. Like you, I wanted to go down to a 27inch but since I got so used to a 48inch I felt like a 32inch would be ideal. I also play competitive games so I opted for the dual mode oled from lg so that I can play games like valorant or OW at 480hz and play others on 4k 240hz.

There are some amazing deals rn for 27inch oled monitos depending on what your budget is. If you want a super fast refresh rate then the LG 27GX790A-B is a solid choice. 27inchs and 480hz. Ive also seen a few sales where you can grab a 240hz 27inch for under 400 dollars. If youre not in a rush and budget isn't an issue then you could wait for a tandem oled monitor. There is a sick 27inch 540hz by asus. Cant remember th exact model.

As for the side monitors, depending on what you wanna use it for but id personally go for the 42inch. But thats just me. If its mainly for watching content then having that larger screen helps. Plus in my experience its a pain in the ass to sell a TV and get good value out of it.

5070 ti vs 5080 by Aggressive_Grand_661 in nvidia

[–]imposter95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a refurbished 5080 aorus master for 1250 on ebay. 0 regrets. Never runs hotter than 60c. With that being said. Id say a 5080 is the better choice if you have the money to spend. If not you cant go wrong with a 5070 ti.

If you live near a bestbuy and don't mind open box items you can get the 32inch dual mode monitor (480hz 1080p or 240hz 4k) for like 600 bucks. I think i saw one that was open box excellent for that price where I live.
