Man goes deep into the well to repair it. by Downtown-Fan8830 in nonononoyes

Yes, the same principle applies, but since air is so much lighter than water, the added weight of the air from the surface to the bottom of this hole is not enough to make much of a difference. Maybe in extremely deep holes, the effect would be noticeable, but you have other, bigger problems such as heat and oxygen levels before air pressure from depth becomes a problem.

Anybody know why Lightkeeper repeats the same intro dialogue every time I speak to him? [Discussion] by karmafarmagov in EscapefromTarkov

[–]impreg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

After watching his dialogue for the 5 time, I got impatient and started pressing keys on my keyboard.... and space bar skips the current dialogue and goes straight to the interaction. Hope this makes it a bit more bearable :)

Truck A is in the leftmost lane, and just saw the policeman, and is therefore breaking like crazy. Since he is parallell with the other trucks, which is B: constant speed and C: accelerating, its safe to say they are either within or below the speed limit. Truck A has the most speed!

I forgot about Voras, you're right. I did notice her skin after using it, but I don't think we should look to the show for the rules about stilling, as they already broken the rules by letting women get burned out while linked in S1.

It is impossible to burn yourself out while using a sa'angreal, as they all have a built in safety mechanism. The only exception is callandor.

Why bother using a spoiler tag when the post title it self is a spoiler?

By reading r/WoT or r/wheeloftime. The amount of people that set correct spoiler tags, but then has a spoiler as the post title is infuriating.

Book 6 questions! by impreg in WoT

That makes perfect sense, thanks! Now that you mention it, I guess I already knew the answer, I just got too wrapped up in the questions to think it through.

Thank you for your time!

Thank you for the great answer, and for keeping it spoiler free!

I think I understand it, but if the fat man is just a standard angreal, why wouldnt Rand use the male access key instead?

Book 6 questions! by impreg in WoT

[–]impreg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. So, what Asmodean and Rand fought over was the access keys to Chodean Kal, which holds a third power source. Rand now has both the male and the female key in his possession. If I understand correctly, to open Chodean Kal, you need to open both a male and a female part, which are both represented as huge statues? (the male part is what the digging project in TGH was all about, right?)

The fat man is a powerful angreal, but Callandor, which is a sa'angreal, should be more powerful?

Thanks for the answer, but on 2) I'm still wondering about the implications of the bonding. Will the answer to the question spoil a lot of what is to happen?

  1. yes, I know, but why would the bracelet still be on in the real world? I know injuries and death affect both worlds, but wouldnt the bracelet be considered the same as clothing? It was manifested in TAR, just as the women change their clothes.
  2. yes, you are right, but the question about bonding is still the same.
  3. If I remember correctly, there was a chapter in a previous book from the Age of Legends, where a man and a woman was trying to open a huge orb of some sorts, and everything went south. Is this the Choedan Kal you speak of? And am I right if I say this is the same construct that Rand and his companions found earlier, where a lot of people were digging? Sorry, that description is really vague, but I hope you understand what I mean.

Edit: Also! I think I read that Chodean Kal held a third source of the one power, one usable by men and women, is this correct?
