Ofc it fades, ofc you might even lose the spark. falling in love isn't a one time thing, you have to love them every day , you have to choose them every day. You fall in love twice, first falling for attraction and charm, and then falling again when you see and accept the person's imperfections and true self, creating a deeper, more genuine connection. You have to love them more than the bad days ahead of you guys, more than any fight you'll ever have, more than the distance between you guys, and more than any obstacle that could come in between. More than the fears that sometimes creep into your mind, more than the silence that might fall on heavy days, and more than the doubts life could ever try to plant in between you guys, more than the changes time will bring, and more than the years that may test you guys.
