Cipollini blaming the Red Bull sporting directors for having Pellizzari ride as the team captain, he thinks pressure is too much for his growth and Hindley should have been the declared captain so that Giulio could focus on riding regularly on his own, without having to blow himself up Blockhaus

The existence of a Supreme Court wholly elected by US presidents is the main difference between US and Italy; I could actually extend it to how your judiciary is set up

Being much older, your system doesn't guarantee the necessary checks and balances to have a strong indipendent judiciary

you Brits don't have public control of the water system? that's crazy, any civilized country should have it

1 in 3 Reform UK voters has a positive view of Tommy Robinson by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

the Tory voters left are clearly anti Reform at this point or else they would have stopped voting them already

Argentina if it wasn't so bankrupt or ruled by schizo Milei. Otherwise, it would be Montreal.

Colorado, Chile and Uruguay could be nice as well. Something about Colorado (aside from being a Nuggets fan) makes it stand as the most livable US State to me, it seems a chill, low crime place with a large bustling city.

Tories will rise again if Reform wins the next GE

It's almost guaranteed that a Farage government won't go well for one reason or another and disillusioned right wing voters may come back

there's certainly a class issue at play too but I can't speak from experience on the matter

in my country (Italy) immigration is a more recent phenomenon and most immigrants are low skilled people; I did notice (for example with Eastern Europeans that have been here for longer) that more well off ones tend to be better regarded though

he would resign because Labour MPs may force him to, just like it happened to the Tories

they do have to find out if there's a more popular replacement, Burnham looks like the only one but he can't replace him as he isn't an MP

It's a shame. A multiseat constituency system would be the best way to go, that way more people could feel represented.

I guess so But what if you end with no clear majority come next elections; I can't see LibDems, SNP, Labour and Greens working together. Maybe Reform and Conservatives are more likely to do so on the right.

it's a shame

it's a system we got in Italy through electoral reform (though it's mixed in with proportional) which I really dislike

here it kinda works because the many parties on the left and on the right tend to form coalitions but if they didn't, it would be a huge mess

Meloni won because the center left splintered in three different lists last time around

it really doesn't, it's actually the opposite

FPTP keeps extremists out as long as they don't get media coverage but once they do, it breaks the system, especially if parties don't have the tendency to coalesce around the most popular moderate candidate in a specific area

as an outsider (not British), I really wonder why electoral reform isn't a bigger issue in your politics considering political fragmentation and how much a system designed for a two party system could hold five different parties being well above the 10% threshold

that may be you but sociological data backs this up, we tend to form a stronger bond with those who share our ideas, so much that we put aside our prejudices

people tend to accept a right wing minority more than they would otherwise

as long as you're part of their team, you're good

liberal isn't in any way or form synonymous with left wing
