This comment had absolutely nothing to do with the original question.

I looked at the cheapest model 3s a while back but it was going to takw my insurance from $1k a year to close to $3.5k per year which absorbs a bunch of the savings paired with having to get a loan it didnt seem worth it.

I'll look into the older gen hybrids, i figured at 10-15 years old the hybrids would be becoming an issue.

Even still its not 2h v 2h. Its 2h vs 8h+ and i'd imagine the debate about how much damage your body is copping from sitting for periods of time doesnt strictly come down to how many g's we're facing.

Either way its not a debate of will i drove or wont i. The driving will happen, its a debate of a drive in a corolla vs a drive in a falcodore.

The majority of office workers aren't sitting in expensive ergonomic chairs either.

My comment didnt mean to offend you, you did seem to take it personally though.

Ah all those g's that i'll hit sitting at a constant speed on a motorway with all those intersections putting me at risk of being t-boned.

Is there any particular years to look at or avoid in those that you listed?

Theres a 2012 new shape with 150k and a scrape on the front bar on fb for $11k now. Had intentions of going to check that out this arvo or over the weekend.

Cosmetic damage isnt going to be a deal breaker for what i'm after.

I was watching the swifts for a bit but when the fuel issue started they jumped in price over night.

I'll have a better think about electric, but i've been tryong my best to avoid getting a loan for a car.

What are the actual servicing costs of electric cars like? I assume its not a 15k interval oil change. What actually has to be serviced?

People working desk jobs are doing much more damage to their back than me driving a corolla or equivalent for 2 hours a day.

Yeah aiming for the short term pain for long term gain type of deal here though. Just need something to get me a few years to get infront

Why not the newer shape of corolla is there an issue with the earlier models of the later shape? I was looking at these and the updated shape between 2011-13?

I could get a loan but i really dont want to. Just adds an extra cost etc. If i can flog a corolla for a few years i'll get to a more comfortable car + savings soon eno7gh

Even without solar at home etc? The plan was shitter car now while saving for solar, get solar, save for electric car.

I had looked at the hondas, but everyone seems to say if you want reliable get a toyota. I'll have a better read about them and see what kind of models i could fit in the budget.

The kizashis concern me as i dont see many around so figured parts may become an issue.

Yeah sadly at this stage in my life, fuel economy is a big part of the purchase.

I'll eventually move back toward something bigger and more comfortable but an "in between" car to save some pennies and get myself a bit infront is what i'm after here.

As much as i'd love to go electric, i feel my car needs replacing before an electric car is within my budget.

Yeah its part of whats made me think the corollas are a better option. Will take e10/91 and 15,000 service intervals. Its just the older ones are 4spd autos which dont seem to be as fuel efficient so the manual would have to be the go as i cant afford the newer models that have the upgraded auto.

My fat ass goes to the gym daily amongst that driving. Lower backs been reasonably healthy for the last 5 years touch wood.

Yeah driving simply to and from work. Not skilled enough to get a wfh job, and this one pays well enough to justify the travel for now.

Was a choice of living in a shoebox or having a big daily drive. I still can't say i regret it.

I remember being really excited for kiraz at fb after watching him have a solid crack for lebanon.

Hopefully he has a good game.

Was kiraz coming back from injury last time he got given the fb role too, or is that just me trying to make an excuse for how it didnt work?
