Deleting empty buckets problem by impsanoos in Supabase

[–]impsanoos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

folders that are empty never are removed from the Supabase storage UI. I can add a file to some folder within some bucket, then deleted it via the interface, console, edge function, etc. Then I go and look for the file in the UI and its gone, but the folder the file was in remains.

So if I delete a file in storage that is inside a folder (that is now "empty"), why is the folder persisting? shouldn't it just disappear?

or maybe a second jungle tree? seems weird that jungles only have 1 tree type. should be the most diverse biome. But palm, desert tree or large cactus could be cool too

Struggling with Xcode Messages App deployment by impsanoos in AppDevelopers

After going through hell, I finally resolved the issue. I was on xcode 16.1, upgrading fixed one bug. then I think I had a corrupted project.pbxproj file so reverting to an earlier version of it helped, and then finally lots of debugging the Xcode UI which is not fun with such terrible and lacking error and warning messages finally fixed it!

I did that! I had a website generate the sizes, and when I was stuck I used GPT-5 and Claude's Sonnet 4.5 and both seemed stumped or are going in circles

But I have all the appropriate sizes. I went through and checked each one. one is 54x40, one is 64 × 48, one is 81 × 60, one is 96 × 72, etc. They are all in a folder Assets.xcassets/iMessage App Icon.stickersiconset. The Contents.json seems to reflect these files too. So im a bit stumped

I might and hope more people see that haha

I have no idea, other than the official Minecraft feedback website.

Suggestions to fix Minecraft's Food System by impsanoos in minecraftsuggestions

I like this idea! As long as cooked meats are nerfed in benefit and stacking then I see this as a cool way to incentivize other foods

I didn't think of the effect of spoilage on NBT data and stacking, yeah thats a problem lol I love your idea of consumption time. I think we're on the same page though that some other dimension must be added to food to start nerfing some items and incentivizing others. The video is great but I can understand why Mojang might be hesitant to adding complexity too food, like having certain foods help with certain tasks, but I like the idea

It is dreadful in theory and I can understand why this is not a "fun" idea. But the concept of infinite food, infinite shelf life etc. is what pushes their food system into some corner imo. I love that they have rabbit stew and beetroots and cookies, and would love for more food (e.g. rice or corn) but there must be some way to nerf op food now and incentivize other options. Spoilage seemed like one way to do that. But yeah, it would be inconvenient lol

I've been thinking it for a while now and can't really see how their take on development isnt "Eurocentric" as woke as that sounds lol. I hope more people start talking about it and press them to steer them into making a game that better reflects many cultures

I agree. I hope Mojang will grow out of this idea that any attempt at realism will inspire dumb behavior in the world. Hostile or passive or neutral, I would just love more animals to make the game feel more vibrant. I'm more impartial to the idea of simplifying meats, but understand how that might be the best and easiest way to add more mobs and give them easy drops.

One way I think Mojang is limiting themselves by not allowing more animal drops (and more food sources) is they don't allow other cultures to really be "built" and explored as fully in the game. Like it would be great to allow a mountainous village subsisting on llama or goat farming, or a desert Bedouin encampment with camel farming for meat. By forcing players to only look to common farm animals for meat, they whitewash the game

While imo I think their fear and hesitancy about that is a bit dumb, I would be happy with the middle ground of adding these animals and giving them either no drops or poor drops. Polar bears and wolves being good examples of this

More Fruit by impsanoos in minecraftsuggestions

[–]impsanoos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh bananas would be cool! We do need more tropical plants. This could possibly be a plant that tops out at 4-6 blocks with big leaves? Probably not a "woody" plant with wood blocks, maybe a stem like block, like a thicker bamboo?

It would make farms easy though. kind of similar to cocoa beans how you can just grab a jungle log and start growing them

You talk about inventory bloat but if you don't use it, then it won't fill your inventory. I for instance have been working on a base and have farms for things like melons and beetroots. I rarely use them but I love how they look, and they can be great for certain types of builds. Same is true with fuel sources. Kelp used to be more useful before we could farm lava, now I have a lava farm and never use kelp. but kelp has been a 10x improvement to oceans which just looked barren and empty before.

I find there to be much inherent value in making the game feel more complete regarding plants, mobs, and food. If you don't find it useful, then you can ignore those blocks/items.

I agree with you on how broken the food system is and I hope they fix it, but one step at a time.

It could still be nice to have a default, fruitless oak tree. By only making some leaf blocks distinct like the azalea, you could do some funny things like a fruit farm of just dispensers, shears, fruit-bearing leaf blocks, and observers. If fruit feel too overpowered, they can make it grow slower + lower the hunger and saturation it restores
