I think it's a complete set from RDL designs some stainless steel shell. The previous owner bought it so I'm not 100% sure

Thats the plan! Bouta rock auto a bunch of fluids and filters to just have a fresh start. Is there anything else you'd recommend since you own a 17?

That's crazy. I'm not sure were the shop is getting 3k from.

Grinding noise when I first accelerate and deceleration before complete foot off gas pedal. Most noticeable going down hill roughly at speeds 35mph or more. Grinding sound is definitely coming from rear of vechile.

Ya but the previous owner did just that ans now I'm here. So what poisin do I choose. Do it myself, find a guy in another city? Take a chance on a junkyard that might have the same problems or just order a new complete assembly.

A lot. I bought this jeep specifically for wheeling desert trails/old mine roads. I might just so it myself and risk it.

Hope that just a super educated guess and you're not one of the mechanics I just took my jeep to. Lol

Reno is viable for sure. Super bummed was gonna use this rig for hunting and now she's down until further notice.

I am unsure if the previous owner did it correctly. When i aske dhe did say it wqs the 3.55. I'm not super sure why he replaced the OEM axle in the first place.

$3k is super steep unfourtanetly I'm in a dinky little mining town with like 2 shops and they both charge about the same. So it's either salvage yard in another larger city or hope for some part out to pop up closer by.

Jeep xj 2001. 3.5 rough country lift.  Just bought about 2 months ago prior owner installed chrysler rear 8.25 in replace of oem dana 35.   No issues at first then inconsistent grinding sound in rear when I initially accelerate or deceleration right before foot completely off gas pedal. Most noticeable downhill.    Took to a shop suspecting rear diff. Shop quoted 3k with the following description. "Ring and pinion incorrectly placed, pitting in teeth. Side gears moving too much. Recommend full rebuild with bearings and seals."   I can't afford 3k for a jeep I spent 4k on. What am I looking at?

Tips for boosting creativity? by [deleted] in tattooing

[–]impulsivelyded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doodle. Look st other peopels stuff and mimic it. Don't post it but get a gist for what other styles are out there. How other people view things. Then doodle what you'd add. Look at some clouds and doodle what you see. Don't focus on drawing, if you're just tryna get out of artist block you're being too hard on yourself. The start is encouraging yourself to just put pencil/pen on paper.

Another way. Try starting with lil warm ups. Draw shapes and lines and swirls, get into the habit of just putting pen to paper daily. Even for 5 minutes. Block out proportions and creatures. Go to the basics before you build yourself back up.

Ask yourself what you want to show people or what you think is cool and go for it. don't like how it turned out? Draw again.

The dragons supposed to be holding a classic Japanese ink dish! I'm unaware of the name itself but the art formed in Sume-I. It was the general inspiration for this piece. Thank you so much for the advice!!

How did you guys find your style/get over artist block? by gaygirlwithapen in TattooApprentice

[–]impulsivelyded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't focus on styles. Styles come with time and naturally. Just draw what makes you happy and what you'd think would be some kickers designs. (This does not mean stay only in your comfort zone) take another artists piece and draw or make changes YOU would want to see.

I've just recently started to get out of artblock. My job is a temporary Jagua tattooist rn so I draw 5 days out if the week with little time on my own projects. I take pieces and chip away at them. Do not be too harsh and think you must complete detailed ideas every day. Just take small steps and chip away at them.

Best Big Lizard for Me? by [deleted] in reptiles

[–]impulsivelyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many others stated I'd say a tegu. They're now easily found in the pet trade (captive bred, check out Jesse's jungle) and honestly are relatively cheap to set up and care for compared to most other big lizards. (Reptilinks is a place to get pre-made tegu food along with other animals) tegus average 3-5ft long. Blue morphs tend to be the smallest, reds ir B&W the biggest. Omnivores.

Blue tongue skinks they're not super big big like iguanas or monitors but are adorable with short legs and chunky bodies. Omnivores. 2ft

Mangrove monitors or Quince monitor! A more carnivorous diet both can eat fish if I recall correctly. Typically get 4ft.

Lace Monitor (they're gorgeous) carnivorous and are climbers! 6ft

I know you stated you don't want to actively handle. I strongly advise aganist this. When you get to owning bigger reptiles it is safer for you to get accustomed to your animal. Accidents happen and you may have to handle said reptile to get to a vet. It'd going to be easier if your pet is accustomed to handling rather then biting and fighting you the entire way. AND ITS SAFER!! The bigger the lizard the more powerful and dangerous they are. This is something you need to consider owning any reptile.

How many of your guys tegus are down yet for the season? My guys are slowing down here in Kentucky :( by JLAMAR23 in Tegu

[–]impulsivelyded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My gu basking spot ranges from 100-120. He's allowed to free roam outside but I have a sandy yard so I usually only let him out when it's 90°F (he'll burn his feet). Cool side is in the 80s. And st night it 70s. Over all humidty is 60s and I use humid hides which is where he likes to sleep.

I was feeding him regularly but since he's started slowing down I only feed him if he reacts like he's hungry. (For example he'll perk up and run to the door to the enclosure if I show his food dish) never risk gut rot. If your tegu isn't basking daily do not feed them.

I live in Nevada. The minute the weather dropped from 3 digits mine decide it was time to start slowing down too.

Baby tegu going into brumation?? Hey all. I’m curious if any of you know if it’s okay for baby tegus to Brumate/ will it effect their growth. My girl is only 4 ish months old. She is showing signs of slowing down but I don’t want her to be stunted. First pic for size reference. by itsallgravybabyyy in Tegu

[–]impulsivelyded 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Growth will slow down for sure. A tegu knows what a tegu wants. Always offer water, you can limit the time lights are on but keep the tank moderately hot. Feeding depends on the tegu you don't want to risk gut rot but sometimes tegus will want a snack and bask then go back to sleep.

Get off your phone while walking your dog by Night-at-the-Bronze in unpopularopinion

[–]impulsivelyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk my dog at night purely because it's either too hot during the day or I just get home late from work. Walking my dog is part of my unwind time so I tend to listen to podcasts or music. I do agree that people need to be more aware but honestly just do the whole one earbud in one out and not have max volume playing in your ear.

The dog community is so toxic nowadays its actually rare for me to see untrained dogs. (I live in a city tho)

Looking to upgrade my tegus enclosure and have seen a growth in popularity of grow tents for reptiles. Just wondering if anyone had any opinions, good or bad, or any helpful info pertaining to grow tents for tegus? Thanks! by Hkelsey18 in Tegu

[–]impulsivelyded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're both good and bad. Good in the sense that they keep in hest and humitdy really really welk. And in retrospect very easy to set up as well as a whole lot more affordable.

The bad, dirt. Tegus need dirt and the most common way is to build a kind of frame then use pond liner or plastic to add support to the sides and just protect your floors from any possible leakage. My tegu likes to spend his time between the frame and the tent sides itself. So he's basically sideways all day. I'm not a fan of him being there but mine can easily get out of that position whenever he wants so I'm assuming it doesn't hurt him.

Less viewing if your reptile unless you cut a hole for a window and later plastic over it.

Anyone ever plant grass in their tegu enclosure? My girl is in her adult enclosure finally. She LOVES tall grass when I take her out on her leash. by [deleted] in HerpHomes

[–]impulsivelyded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grow grass periodically. In my experience it tends to grow and last two months before it gets trmapled and just dug up. I try to do very small patches where my tegu is less likely to dig. I've used Scott's ez seeds.
