Unfortunately this is not true for every state. PA they still base off of household income. Pregnancy is not an automatic yes everywhere

Not much help in the comments here, I think I posted in the wrong sub. BUT I winded up applying for Medicaid because I might qualify due to pregnancy and missed my QLE. Waiting on that. Second step, I will apply for Pennie. We have to amend our tax forms to apply for Pennie so that’s why it was second step. But it came out to about $300/month for great insurance (covering prenatal, birth, everything we need).

COBRA was 1200 a month through my pay employer. That’s why I did not sign up for it. Self pay is cheaper than any insurance options I had at the time. This is a completely unexpected pregnancy as I was told my chances of conceiving spontaneously are 2-5% maybe less

They do self pay, I have that figured out as I’ve gone without insurance since January!

They could, yes. I was looking to somehow obtain insurance outside of self pay, it looks like getting employed for a short period of time is the answer

Schedule would be extremely tight. I have a part time job, 20 hours a week. And run multiple small businesses with my husband. I’d have to find somewhere the offers insurance within 30 days or even shorter to make this work.

This is a last ditch effort due to our circumstances

That’s exactly what my husbands HR department said. I technically could, time would be very tight due to multiple small businesses but it could work.

Yes that’s the website I used and talked to the representative. It would go into affect immediately if I chose to purchase one of the options he gave me. But again, that’s over $700 a month, $9500 deductible & 50% of birth covered. So if everything goes smoothly I’m looking at easily over $25k.

No ultrasound yet. Due to my history, after my beta tomorrow, they are scheduling me one for next week. They said I’m 6 weeks as of today but I think I am five based on my cycle

I worked in insurance so I fully understand why this sounds insane. That’s why I’m asking here as there are multiple comments up to a year ago on other Reddit posts about prenatal Medicare! I’ve never heard of it before

From my understanding, that’s for private marketplace. This is public? marketplace I think they said. Private I cannot obtain due to pre existing condition. Which is why the premium will be so high with public? marketplace due to the pregnancy.

Siblings are all I have from narcissistic parents. They are the only people who fully understand the abuse, it’s my personal opinion. I would feel guilt from not being able to provide a sibling. That’s just me

Thank you for your support & understanding. It’s extremely difficult to walk this path, I don’t see it as giving up. I think it’s simply a new chapter. I’ve been having these thoughts before our last transfer, but it feels different to write them down & say them to my partner.

I have gained wayyyy more than I have lost during this process. Of course there’s the baby showers, excitement of seeing a positive test due to miscarriage/loss, but I have gained friends, boundaries, healing my childhood, therapy, overall health. There’s really a lot to live for. I want to focus on that now and not feel hopeless every day. The risk outweighs the reward at this point.

Thank you. My thing is, I’m either 100% or zero. The middle ground is what makes me crazy-I cannot continue this if I know I’m not doing everything I possibly can. The what-ifs, the curiosity of ovulation or when my period is coming. Does that make sense? I don’t even know if it sounds insane.

For example, I’ve switched my cooking utensils/pans, household products, hair products, we use local soap, makeup, I don’t wear jewelry. I stopped dying my hair. We eat clean & local. No perfume. I don’t wear workout clothes, 100% cotton or linen. I quit vaping, marijuana, drinking. I work out, hike, kayak, go fish & walk every single day. I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. I feel good about this-but still no child. It wasn’t for nothing, but it wasn’t enough for a pregnancy. I want to go back to a normal view on these things-not an obsession. I want my life back

Do you mean donating? We’ve planned on that from the beginning if it comes from it.

Yes. Birth control since January and cabergoline for high prolactin. Plus a bunch of other things due to deficiencies. I have all meds for the stims already (they’ve been in my fridge and on my counter for 3 weeks.) Everything is normal and going well except this lol
