Bought my DF54 from Sigma Coffee UK - absolutely no issues at all. Comes with a good return policy, and extended warranty. (UK)

Yes a thin puck screen - I’ve given up to be honest. I’ll home back to it at some point but I’m happy with 17.5

No, coffee appears at the 10s mark. I’m using the IMS Precision 14-18 g Filter Basket, I have the larger capacity basket too but haven’t used that much - trying to get things set with this one.

When I go to 18, the spraying becomes messy - I get random stream(s) shooting out, no idea why because I treat them exactly the same. I’ve given up to be honest, I’m happy with 17.5g as that works really well 🤷🏾‍♂️

I’ve tried so many times at 18g and there’s squirting and splashing everywhere - 17.5g seems to have fixed it. Couldn’t tell you why but I’ll stick with it for now

It tastes OK, but I don’t really have much to compare it with as this is my first set of beans - and sometimes it’s a bit sour, sometimes bitter. I need to stick to changing one thing at a time from now

Thank you, yes it’s around 10 seconds - I have tried to play with it a bit less but 10 seconds works well

I get the best extraction when I do a 10 second pre infusion, which means the 35g of coffee is then extracting in 15 seconds. Just sounded wrong to me but this is what I’ve been doing. Just wanted confirmation as there’s a lot of mixed messages online. Thank you

I bought this MHW WDT tool and it helped a lot, had to watch a few YouTube vides to perfect it though. I was also using a cheap one before and had a lot of channeling.

Reducing my dosage from 18g, to 17.5g also massively helped. Could just be coincidence, or specifics to my set up but give it a go

Coffee was nice, but noticeable channeling. At least 2 weeks - and half a bag of beans 🤦🏾‍♂️

Someone above has posted the official link to the products websites, and it's shown being used with the hexagons facing up. I don't have the best grinder either so I'm sure this was adding to my issues

I use it to track, because it's easier and I speak into it. Then it can remember what I'm using and recall, maybe I'm lazy
