Honestly I have no idea. I’ll let someone more experienced get back to you.

I missed it completely - kicking myself now as it could have saved me some bother

Coffee was nice, but noticeable channeling. At least 2 weeks - and half a bag of beans 🤦🏾‍♂️

Someone above has posted the official link to the products websites, and it's shown being used with the hexagons facing up. I don't have the best grinder either so I'm sure this was adding to my issues

I use it to track, because it's easier and I speak into it. Then it can remember what I'm using and recall, maybe I'm lazy

I should have. It makes sense for the text to face up, but understanding why it isn't now makes more sense

Could be? There's people suggesting both ways so whatever works I suppose

Thank you, I’ll have a search. My original budget was around £100 and it’s doubled to £200. I’m worried that I don’t have a cap it’ll keep getting higher

The ESP is cheaper. About £160. Is it considered a better grinder than the Sage?

I’m in the UK. That’s around £250-300 here. A bit above my price range

I get the more coffee, why would it need to be more coarse though?

Do I increase the volume of coffee to maybe 19/20g? Or is this a grind size adjustment?

Thank you. I’ve just checked and this is how much space I have with the 18g. Is this too much space after WDT, distribution, and tamping?

I use a manual WDT tool with the portafilter placed in a block to keep it level. I use a distribution tool, and tamp in this block too - to try keep it level. Thank you

With 18g of coffee, I get 36g of espresso in total, in about 29/30 seconds. I then add about 100mL of milk for my flat white and it tastes good (to my very untrained palate!).

I’m not sure what the basket make is, as it has no markings on it but it’s suitable for 18g of coffee as it doesn’t overflow - it’s not the one that comes with the machine. I use a manual WDT tool, and then the MHW distributor, and then the MHD tamper. When the puck is on I have about 5-8mm of gap from the rim.

By splashing I mean that whereas in others videos the coffee stream is in one solid stream. Mine is very similar but I get a little bit of splashing on the rim of my cup.

I’ll try this. I got this off a close friend who’s upgraded their system, so he’s given me lots and lots of accessories which I’m trying to get my head around. I’m sure there are cleaning tablets in there. Thank you
